I love this game. I'm probably going to nominate it as my GOTY.
To think I sold my PS4 copy so I could get the pc version. I'll wait until next year. But now I understand why we didn't get a pc key to review when we asked for it. I think this is the only industry in which companies know their shit doesn't work but they still sell it AND consumers are perfectly ok with that. Sure, they bitch and moan but at the end of the day they still preorder and buy it.
Fucking brutal:
QuoteQuote We can't kick off a Dishonored 2 platform comparison without first discussing just how remarkably poor the PC version is. We're not going to dwell too much on this because the backlash against the product is already intense enough, but let's put it this way - we've tested the title with an overclocked Core i7 4790K paired with Titan X Pascal and remarkably, it has trouble hitting 60fps at 1080p. Clearly, a fundamental re-evaluation of the PC version is required beyond the brace of patches seen so far. It's stunning to think that this title actually shares technological underpinnings with Doom 2016 - a title that runs maxed-out at over 100fps at 4K on the same hardware. Things do seem to be improving (the first patch could see the same Titan-powered system trough out at 38fps in full HD resolution) but the product had no business shipping in that state.
The ending of the Last of Us really got to me. It's the only game that ever managed to really make me care. That hit me on a emotional level.

But yeah it's gone down even further now, will be picking up a copy
Yeah, I figured I would share that as well. But only consoles it seems. I hope to get a Origin key for that price. Although I'm reading troublesome reports about the playerbase left on pc.
QuoteQuote Attrition has between 150-800 players, the least being between 2-5AM GMT+02 and the most somewhere around 3-10PM. I've never not gotten into a match, average matchmaking takes about 20-30 seconds. I've only been playing Attrition though, can't talk of the other modes. Mostly connected to the Amsterdam-server, I think there was one in Germany or something too.
Thank you to everybody for answering my questions. Plus, a big shout out to @D3ads. That was an excellent article. The more I read about this, the more I realize I don't know dick. Came across this today:

WTF? I have no clue, but I'm interested.
Looks like you can get it dirt cheap this Friday:

Lots of changes, I think for the better, looking forward to having more time for myself!
Dude, that's...a lot. I'm sorry it didn't work out with your wife. I hope you can make good arrangements for your children. I wish you the best man!
I expected nothing of this, but it's actually looking really cool:

It came from nowhere, and is really about Epic than the mappers - I suppose I am questioning the decision making process by Epic. They already had two mappers with maps included in their product, yet did not give them anything from the grant money. Why was this? They ignore them, yet, those who took part in a competition and were awarded $ they give more $ ?
I'm not speaking for Epic and I'm sure that @2d-chris can correct me if I'm wrong. But the two mappers who had their maps included were already working together with Epic for a long time. Epic has constantly reached out to the community to support anything they saw potential in. We also stated that in the UT contest rules:
QuoteQuote Depending on the quality of entries, and work required to take the levels to release quality, Epic will evaluate the possibility of adding winning entries into the Marketplace or the game. Epic will work directly with the designers on any issues that need resolving (similar to dmlea and ctfpistola).
So, this to me, seems a natural progression from what's posted above.

Anyway, I'm kinda disappointed really. The hardware is fine, easy to install and comfortable to wear. It works great too. A bit blurry and low res, but convincing nonetheless. But it needs real and full games instead of all these tech demo's.
Oddly enough, Dishonored 2 is cheaper for the pc than Titanfall 2.
We played this on a LAN party yesterday. Great fun! I love how to game makes it look so easy in the tutorials and as soon as you go online it's frantic as fuck!
I love the visual style too, very impressive and still maintaining a good readability while playing. It's obvious that this is a game with a lot of depth and that I've barely scratched the surface.
I gave it a 'recommended' badge. For our Arkane men, you can do a Google translate on this if you feel so inclined ![]()
I really enjoyed this one:

http://# Hide contents cos I did save Hamilton but I did it AFTER the fight with the crown killer triggered, so he was just sitting there and the talk prompt wouldn't trigger because you're suposed to get to him before you figure out who the killer is. I guess I'll do it "correctly" on my second playtrhough cos now I'm curious to see what he'd say.
Basically, it's now my opinion that Mission 3 - The Good Doctor is one of the best missions i've done in a game in a long time! I love the freedom you have, just walking around the island and taking it all in is an amazing experience, in terms of plot and the world you're in, you can tell the amount of history that island has just by walking around. I now just started mission 4, if the game continues this amount of awesomeness, Dishonored 2 will definitely be my GOTY.
Spoiler Like @3Dnj said, I think I'm confusing Hamilton with that dude in the interrogation room downstairs.
