The last PC "Port" wasn't that fabulous if I remember correctly?
So I preordered this for the PS3. I didn't want to go for the Xbox 360 version because then I would have to pay for Xbox Live as well. On which platform are you guys going to get it?
Since we're doing reaction gifs. This was my initial reaction:

I think Ben is a talented guy and a great director. He can act but he's not Batman. He's the Kid who's lunch money is taken every day.
Yeah, they cut quite a bit. Xen can wait. I just want it on Steam and that has been almost a year already ![]()
You know I'm just kidding Blackdog ![]()
Quote from blackdogI know, it's what I always thought it would be nice to do with a lot of games.
But Uplink came out quite after the game, which at the time I was just playing (i first played it borrowed from a friend). And I still hadn't access to Internet. I can't remember when I first heard of Uplink, but it was waaay late, i'd say probably when HL was toward the end of its era.

For those looking for more Black Mesa goodness. Check out these mods. It's a complete version of Surface Tension and On a rail. Compatible with Black Mesa Source.

The Uplink Demo is the greatest demo I've ever played.
Visually appealing as always. Cinematics to drool over and great overall atmosphere. I'm sure you had a lot of fun working on it HP and I have no doubt it will look great.
However, Diablo 3 was build around greed and everything in the game shows that. It's hollow and soulless and there's no amount of patching that can ever fix that. I could live with that though. Expect for the fact that I loved the world of Diablo and it's story. I even bought the book of Cain. But what did I get in Diablo 3? One of the worst executions of a story I've ever seen in a game. Blizzard clearly didn't remember the rule:"Show, don't tell". Especially act 3, in which Azmodan, Hell's best commander, literally reveals and explains his every move before making it is an insult to one's intelligence. If that's the best that Hell can produce I'm not impressed. I'll stop now, before ranting 10 pages.
Anyway, I hope it's a cool act with a great story. It's pretty weird that they only added the Crusader. Because in a act with Death as the main theme there should be a Necromancer class.
Quote from sockMore locations to explore, more monsters to fight or avoid, better stealth mechanics with a new weapon which shows the player what is happening. Large vertical locations with deadly traps for a different gameplay pace. A better particle system which is based on models instead of sprites. A more detailed gib system with unique models for each monster. More tweaks to the AI pathing systems and a large collection of environmental sounds to compliment all the new idle animations. It is a big update and hopefully should provide more opportunities to explore and have fun stalking the AI.

Quote from PampersI dont understand, origin is also integrated into the game itself, but if you want you can just close it after you start the game as well.
Origin has to be installed seperately. Battlenet doesn't. I have to load Origin in order to play the game. With Blizzard, I just play the game and Battlenet is loaded within in.

This is from an interview on Gamer.nl. It's in Dutch, so I translated some stuff: Rooms have a predetermined size. So you can't go crazy.Focus shifted to defending your dungeon. Rooms defend themselves and you'll rely heavily on spells. It's described as a tower defense like game. The developer said this wasn't a reply to fans begging for a new game. It was found in the archives while looking for a new game that had to be made for the mobile market. In short, it has no soul.
Amen brother! Although, I was interested in this (even though we thought it would be F2P). But that's because I don't like MMO's and I really don't want to pay for something I'll probably don't like. I loved Skyrim though and I wanted to give this a try. But that ship has sailed now.
