Say what you will, but this topic is 3 pages long and barely a day old. Love it or hate it, people are talking.

It's that WWII movie with Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton. Eagles something....
Nice pick, so I'll do a war movie as well:

I just want a proper campaign, I don't care about the multiplayer at all. Where's the fun in getting shot by a guy with a pink nazi helmet and a green gun while he's insulting your mother?
I played COD back in the day for the campaigns only. But as the years progressed they got shorter and shorter. Amazing setpieces evolved into an onrail shooter and it just got further off track.
This looks like a step in the right direction but come one, Normandy again? How many times do we have to storm those beaches? We're talking about a World War that's an endless source of inspiration and this the only thing developers keep coming up with.

Yeah, someone must definitely be able to guess this so I'll wait a bit

Great fucking movie btw.

I recognize that kid from E.T. but I don't know this movie.

I played it a lot more and unfortunately got my ass handed to me several times. It appears I've gotten too old to keep up with these fast games

Anyway, like I said before, the maps are stunning. Even though little remains of the original id Software team, the studio still has this unique style that I simply don't see anywhere else. Just like you can see it's a Blizzard game, the same goes for id. Having said that, Q3DM6 has never been or looked better. All three maps play great. Lots of room to maneuver, plenty of tactical choices and good layouts. I did notice that the spawn points need some work, because I often spawned on top of someone else.
Bought some Champions too. I like Scale Bearer his Bull Rush ability. Visor his ability isn't that helpful. Nyx her Ghost Walk is great too. It adds additional tactical layers to the game, but it doesn't overdo it. The game runs very smooth, matchmaking is on point, but the waiting times could be reduced a bit, the same goes for the warm up time.
Vanity items and loot boxes don't interest me. But I do like that you can buy the original Quake rocket launcher or the Quake 3 machine gun, etc.
Overall very impressed with it so far.

Holy shit, this game is fucking awesome! Everything I wanted is there.

I got in thanks to @BJA and I fucking love it. It plays and feels like Quake. It's fast, fluid and brutal. The maps are gorgeous and overall it just feels like home. I played TDM with friends and I didn't feel the need for Champion abilities at all so I can't say much about that yet. The only thing that bothered me is that they keep saying the same goddamn thing over and over. It's so annoying, that after 30 minutes of play I just turned the sound of because I couldn't handle it anymore.

I know all the hopping around is legacy, but I find it a bit weird that something that came out of a bug is implemented on purpose. I mean if the reason is to move faster why don't just make player speed faster?

Pulling another old TV out of another room and hoping to god this one lasts out long enough for me to buy the replacement. And unlike this time get a replacement I won't have to return!
Maybe buy some extra insurance with it as well since these things seem to drop like flies with you

Say what you want about Bethesda's games, but those guys sure know how to sell it.

Is it just going to be cosmetics which need paying for? I'm sure they could create loads of different suits of armour and all that from the entire star wars universe and people love cosmetics so I'm sure they'd make a pretty penny for it.
BF1 was the first Battlefield I didn't buy the season pass for. Mostly due to a tight budget but also due to being let down by other season passes in previous BF's. I always found the player numbers dwindled more and more with each DLC release with the community becoming more splintered. It'd be nice to keep all the players on all the maps and just put the cosmetics behind the pay walls.
They are working on something 'better'. That's me quoting them. They said that feedback on the previous one made it clear that the season pass didn't work out and that they heard the cries for more content, progression, etc. So maybe they'll take the Titanfall 2 route? All the maps and modes are free, but you have micro-transactions for cosmetics.

Look @Tisky, I appreciate that you are grateful I shared my story, but please realize that just because it worked for me, that doesn't mean it works for you. I shared the story to highlight how I'm not able to place myself in your position and not to convince you this is the best approach. I think @Minos gave you some excellent pointers. Information that's helpful to all, regardless of their situation. But looking at your posting history and at what you're saying, maybe it's time to look for some professional help. It seems you are losing grip and there might be other factors at play and you are just projecting a lot of that on her. There's no shame in asking for help and as to being tough, that's just something that men are conditioned into by society. Don't fall for that. Real men will try anything to resolve whatever it is that needs fixing.
