Quote from Senturasince goatse falls into that category, i would deliberately try not to win
everything except
ok: new rules:
ALZHEIMER, THE GAME
WINNER, The Patient
- The slowest person to have a complete map drawn by memory will win (there will be only one winner).
LOSER!
- The player who has his map completed first will lose.
-- As punishment, he will have to listen to justin bieber for 29 minutes and sing his song for another 10. The punishment may change if the majority of players decide to. However, it's forbidden to increase the time to listen to that shit for 30 minutes or more because of high chances of eternal brain damages.
(there's a catch: see below)
RULeZ
- Each player has his own table, pen and paper. The drawing must be done on it.
- Each 5 minutes, players will have to leave their seats to swap their pens. This may leave their drawings unprotected for some time.
- Ahá! Competitors can leave their table and go to the competitors' and continue their drawings. If the competitor's drawing becomes complete, he will be the one to lose - even if the map was drawn by another player.
Enjoy the moments of carelessness of those smart bastards trying to troll the others and complete his drawing! But, you might get f*cked while doing this. There will be lots of other smart bastards watching for an opportunity to make you lose.
Prepare yourselves for the longest event everrr
I should put this in my portfolio. ![]()
We should meet and do a speed mapping. Who turns out to be the most effective and faster, gets a
Now that I'm thinking, I guess I could draw some Counter Strike maps. de_dust, de_dust2, cs_rio, de_aztec, cs_assault, etc.
That's an interesting discussion.
Our industry lacks some position definitions that are written in stone.
I heard that in VALVe they don't even know what their fixed position is. Or maybe that was some joke that Gabe did in a Steam Cast.
Maybe because they are proactive and won't refuse to do any task because "it's not my role, get out".
Drawn from memory? That's insane.
I'm doing an experiment with facebook/ twitter/ google+ (plusOne) buttons in my portfolio.
What's your opinion in this? What do you guys think about adding these in portfolios?
That's an easy way for visitors to share the portfolio and increase the audience, and potential employers.
Another fair point is that anyone who visits the site may see how many people found the portfolio worthy to click in that button and recommend it to someone. This may help to grab people's attention to continue viewing the portfolio content.
The Google button helps to place the site in higher positions in searches, which is good too.
What do you think? I was afraid that they could be a little bit distracting from the main info of my portfolio, but I decided to experiment with it anyways.
Looking for some feedback. Thanks.
The game still has some problems regarding disconnection/ chanelled skills/ lag, but with the feedback that the beta players are giving - myself included, posting as Intelect0 - the game will be released on its best state.
Blizzard is constantly releasing new patches. The patch #10 brought some big changes in system design and that's great to see they are sticking to quality instead of release a game that would need future patches to solve issues.
Sorry for your loss ![]()
I recently lost my best friend too, and I know how hard that is. It was someone who was constantly with me for almost 14 years. It was my dog, my best friend.
Be strong!
I find this game very addictive. Because of its randomness, the game always seemed fresh to me.
There's a great variety of items you can get. They not only will change your appearence for something grotesque, but also will give you some interesting powers.
The ability to explode bombs near certain walls and find secret rooms is great, as well as doing pacts with the devil to exchange some lives for superpowers.
I think I have something around 5 hours of gameplay, and I still haven't reach the last chapter, because when I play I like to explore all rooms instead of just going through the chapter boss. And, this game is fucking hard sometimes.

With some exceptions, in most cases I prefer to make a digital download/ purchase of something I want.
Physical items take a big space of your shelf, and the chance that I'll use them again are too low.
Making a digital purchase depends on the nature of the merchandise. Books, for example, I prefer to have them in my hands rather than stay staring at a computer screen for hours for read them. In the case of games, when I know the game is really awesome - before buying it - I like to have the box and its contents, like for example limited and collector's edition.

brb, I'll change my birthday so next week I'll have a birthday thread too! ;D
I just updated the Level Design blueprint of one of my projects.
The new version is translated to english, because the old one was in portuguese.
I think the new version is way more intelligible!
Any thoughts?
I believe you are right with those examples.
There're some quotes of the great Gabe Newell that say:
"the way to end piracy is to provide a service that's more complete than cracked software"
and
"We think there is a fundamental misconception about piracy. Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem,"
more of this in here.
yeah, like taking Megaupload down would tell us that "we are already against the laws" and those nonsense Acts would be really necessary.
What happens with anyone who used MegaUpload to host personal/ private/ commercial files?
I know people that hosted important backup files in there. I know that's not recommended, because they could lose everything in case the site went down (like at this very moment), but sometimes that's the only way to backup files.
Quote from Zyndromehttp://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/432…2012#blogThat's ... quite some changes. Maybe included in tomorrows beta-patch?
I believe so... it's said that some of the changes will "in a way or another" be included on the latest patch
Quote from Jay WilsonAll of these are changes that will in one way or another be seen in the latest beta patch
