    Probably one of the most accurate gameplay representation from a cinematic trailer. I don't think there's topping the jump from bf2 to bf3 though, that shit has been cemented in gaming history.

    @FMPONE getting a GPU at retail price is basically impossible. They sell out less than a second after they're in stock, which is basically never. People have bots buying them up and some people just get lucky with their timing. Not to mention all the tracking sites that are constantly refreshing inventories from newegg, amazon, etc. Cards that run $400-$500 retail, like an rtx 3060, are going for $1200+ thanks to scalpers taking advantage of the situation. I could probably sell my 770 and make a profit, which is fucking nuts. It's a combination of covid, crypto, and all the shit that's going on with China like embargos and what not being placed on them. There's simply not enough manufacturing power to keep up with demand. I think Taiwan is picking up some of the demand if I'm not mistaken, but Taiwan can only produce so many chips, still not nearly enough. CPUs are in a similar situation but it's not nearly as bad as GPUs. You might need to wait a few months to buy the processor you want if it's out of stock but getting a new graphics card? Maybe in the last quarter of 2022.

    Game engines are marketed to gamers just as much as games these days. Pretty shit sells, who cares if the game is actually a pile of shit design wise.

    I don't know how many times I tried doing a blockout for an environment in UE4 and saying fuck this, and loading up 3dsmax. And that was for art that was never going to be used for gameplay.

    It's been a really long time since I've seriously touched anything 3d related, I miss it. I opened 3dsmax for the first time in years and wanted to cry, it still feels like home. I will be posting all 3d related art I make in this thread, starting with a zbrush sketch.

    I remember watching guardian ape rage compilations so when I finally got to the dude myself, I was shitting my pants. He ended up being one of the easier boss fights for me. I sunk 80+ hours into the game and still have yet to beat the final boss. Not to mention those 80+ hours leave giant chunks of the game untouched.     Reinstalling Prey. I played it for the first time a few months ago but ended up uninstalling it 2 hours in to free up some space. Those 2 hours were pretty fucking good though. I had a similar feeling I had on my first run through of BioShock, which is one of my all time favorites. I don't know why but I could not get into the first Dishonored, which disappointed me because Arkane makes damn good looking games. Thankfully this doesn't seem to be the case with Prey.

    I'm not expecting anything to go back to what you guys consider normal for quite a while.

    Majority of my friends are pretty fucked up now. Two of them are now full blown agoraphobic and are both on heavy ass medication just to function. My 3rd friend is in therapy and my 4th friend is self medicating with the special herb and I don't feel too amazing but I haven't needed to resort to therapy or meds. They should of kept the gyms open, the specific rules for some things were just daft. And I love the British news headlines "Soon you can hug again!" Oh fuck off.

    Looking forward to seeing the mental health fallout explosion from this.

    1000% the gyms should have been considered "essential" or whatever bullshit language they used to keep certain business open.

  • What have you watched recently?

    I will second minos, especially regarding dbz kai. I binge watched dragon ball super a couple years ago as an almost 30 year old and loved almost every second of it. The animation quality compared to dragon ball, dbz, and gt is pretty shit but once I got over that, Super became something I wanted to keep watching. Which is a rare thing for me to say because the only other series I've binge watched was Game of Thrones, which I stopped watching completely after season 4 or 5.
