Really liking the first two screens, Hazard24. That grass looks super nice, is it stock source grass or did you make them?

When I first started playing I was on the hardest difficulty, after playing through a bit and having to redo the same checkpoints over and over due to insta-kills, I lowered the difficulty level and could really start to enjoy the game. Graphically as I said before, it looks great and it also plays great. I have everything bumped up to the max settings in my Nvidia control panel as well as the edits to the cfg file.
I was skeptical that this game would ever feel like a Crysis game, thankful I was wrong. Going from lush jungles to skyscrapers was a big hurdle for me in this regard, now that I'm blasting alien guts with my shotgun, it's starting to feel like Crysis again.
The suit is cool, I love the module aspect of it and armor mode really makes you feel like a walking tank. Speed mode always being on is something I'm not found of. I can't even run when my suit has zero energy which usually results in my death trying to reach cover as quick as possible.
Hopefully we can mod Crysis 2 because that's something I'm itching to do once I finish.
$60 is a lot of money to spend on a game, from my experience so far, it looks like it'll be worth it

Played a little more (I just got outside), Crysis definitely had superior graphics, not seeing a whole lot of detail normals/spec maps used which would add a lot to the textures I think. Will post my thoughts on gameplay when I'm a bit further.

My copy finished downloading at like 2:30am so I only played a few minutes of it. Liked the opening, nice little send off to the first. I think I was more awestruck when I saw Jester in the opening scene of Crysis than the marines in Crysis 2 but there's no denying Crysis 2 looks damned impressive. Not sure what would look better to me if I was able to compare side by side.
Working on my shitting portfolio so I'll have to wait to play more tonight.
Congrats on the release you guys, now get to work on number three

Bought the game. It was as if... something was... pulling me, if you will, to buy the game. Purchased through steam so I just started downloading it, sucks that I live in Washington, I always have to pay sales tax

Forgot about MLL, had some interaction with one of the guys who worked (works?) on it in the past.
I think one of the reasons for the small number of mods was simply do to support issues. Crytek will have a lot more investment with their CE3 SDK so continuous updates/support for it shouldn't be a problem, that's what I'm hoping anyway.

I hate myself for having missed the pre-order discount on Steam. It's 59 USD now
(not implying that the game isn't worth 59, but for that price I'd rather get the retail version!)I never saw a discount on Steam, just some lame multiplayer unlock gimmick. Think I'll hold off on Crysis 2 as I still don't know if the editor is/will be included or they're just going to skip it for the CE3 SDK.

awesome cant wait to play around with it
its a smart/necessary move cant let epic and unity sponge up the entire market !Yep yep, this should also really help expand the amount of people using CE3 compared to CE2. The mod community behind CE2 is at a decent size but the amount of total conversion mods released with it is extremely small (if there's any out there.) I actually don't know of any that are released.

Mafia 2Love this game, its sooo good.
Playing GTAIV right now, it's definitely fun but I enjoyed Mafia 2 more. Like the setting, story, and mechanics (there's some minute differences between them that are fairly obvious to those who've played both) far more than GTA, it also looks better

I wonder if they'll do a proper expansion or possibly mafia 3 in the "near" future.

Sure I'll walk there ... just 400 kilometers away or so. Actually, forget it :C

Looking killer, Pogo! Definitely got me thinking about doing a modular piece for my next scene.

Any one have some suggestions on how I should set the telephone pole light up along with the door light? I don't want the scene to be very bright but at the same time I want each light to not overpower or blend with one another too much.

I'm not aware of any biologist/chemist calling it such. I've only seen such wording from article headlines. Regardless, it's not arsenic based and I'd advise every one to not get excited when claims like this pop up every now and then.
