This law, if I'm correct, was meant to stop retailers from selling violent video games to minors. I think that's as specific as it got, so theoretically, if the state deemed Super Smash bros to be violent, you'd need to be a legal adult in order to buy the game. So it's not about stopping development of violent games, it's about having governmental control of defining violent and banning all sales of said game to minors.

Vigors are essentially the same thing as plasmids. Key differences are, you drink them instead of injecting them, you have a limited number of uses with them but can pick up charges (like ammo) unique to the given vigor for longer use.
If I'm not mistaken, theres an interview out there with Levine going over how vigors were created in Columbia.

The equivalent to plasmids in Infinite are called vigors, the tears are a new thing entirely.

This also means we're closer to the SDK release

Tried chrome when it was first announced during early beta, fast yes but I don't trust google, plus ff is open source. No reason for me to make the switch really.

Public demo's out on Steam. Played it on the hardest difficulty with the graphics as high as they can go, even on a 24" monitor the game looks lackluster. Loading times weren't an issue, was like 10 seconds. The two gun limit is, in a phrase, fucking retarded. Regenerate health makes the game easier than it already is.
I'd say my biggest complaint would be that it's just boring. There's no other way to put it, it was just a empty, open (because of the emptiness), boring demo. Don't think I'd bother with it even if they made the game free

If the demo is an accurate portrayal of the rest of the game, I can't see how any one is defending it.

So it's settled, Mapcore will make Mirror's Edge 2 without EA's permission. Let's do it!

Quote from D3ads
How do you regulate what gets shown or not? Must be a pain in the arse to view Youtube with all those turned on surely?
It was at first, I'm used to it now though. Script wise, youtube is pretty simple as I temp allow youtube.com and one other script needed for full video functionality. Once those are enabled through Noscript, I still need to give Flashblock the OK to run the video (or any other flash driven aspects of the site). If I do enable a script that runs ads or whatever, Adblock Plus will kill it 9/10 times, though there are the few pop up windows that slip through, especially the ones that are enabled via clicking anywhere on the site. When that happens, WOT will give me a warning page allowing me to continue or exit, assuming the site has a bad enough rating.
The 'WTF do I do now' aspect was a bit overwhelming at first, using them everyday though makes it second nature at this point.

I use Ad Blocker Plus along with Noscript and Flashblock, kind of impossible for me to get infected that way unless I accidentally enable the script/ad with the malware. Everyone should install these if they use FF.

So does Gearbox just want us to pirate the demo our what?

For those who don't know, you can watch the episodes on http://www.southparkstudios.com/, HD quality and the likes.

Looks pretty swick to me, hope the $60 price tag is worth it...

As long as I can still update and work with the SDK, I'll be happy.
