I would imagine they're using Arma 4 as the game to build the engine around.
My pc wasn't really powerful enough to play Arma 1 online, so I stuck to the single player stuff and mission editor, like I did with Operation Flashpoint, but I played the shit out of Arma 2. I had to leave Arma 3 untouched unfortunately as my pc was once again too shit tby the time it came out.
I'll be ready for Arma 4 and judging by those shots it's going to look damn good.

Definitely agree about the filler content. It be great if you could rent an entire kit out for a set period of time. Like how renting games used to be a thing back in the day.
My friends and I were talking about headsets again last night, I don't think we'll be buying one any time soon. I'm not anyways.
It's all still early hardware but I'm hoping for prices to be less than $1k for a top of the line kit. Or maybe the jump from spending $500 on a kit to spending $1k+ will be for enthusiasts or whatever.
I also have the same hesitancy for buying headsets as I do with consoles. There's usually only one or two games that I want to play on the entire system. Aside from my Switch that I recently bought, the last console I played was a ps3 and by that time, the ps4 had been out for awhile. The reason? I showed my dad a gameplayer trailer of The Last of Us and him being a huge Walking Dead fan at the time, went out and bought a ps3 so we could play it.
I'm ready to return to the Zone but none of us are going back by April.

Last Halo campaign I played was Halo 2 when it came out. I bought the Halo MC collection on Steam a few months ago and messed around with one of the campaigns, can't recall if it was Reach or a different one, could not get into it. I think Halo Infinite is the first online multiplayer I tried for the Halo series, it's ok. Had more fun with my friends back in the day, hooking our Xboxes up and playing against each other in Halo CE.
The more I play Exodus, the more I like it. I've gotten vibes from multiple games at certain points throughout my playthrough, all in the best way. Farcry 2, Rage, and a few others. There's also a large amount of environmental variation in the levels, and that is cool as hell.
Started Metro Exodus a few days ago. It was on my hit list as soon as it was announced. I was a huge fan of 2033 and Last Light but having an out of date rig, I wasn't been able to try it.
The world is terrifying/unforgiving as hell and looks damn good.

Nah I don't know anyone personally who has a headset. A few of my friends talk about buying one but none of us have pulled the trigger yet.

No I didn't buy an index but I'm of the current thinking that if I do buy a headset, it will be an index and if that ends up being the case, I will have spent $30 on Alyx for nothing. Not the end of the world.
I bought it through the steam sale, did't realize it comes with an index. I still don't want to drop money on a headset just to play this game, as much as I want to experience it.
Got my new rig put together and bought d2r for 25% off on bnet. Going from a gtx 770 to an rtx 3060 has me feeling like I'm playing games for the first time, guess I didn't realize how far behind my machine was. What's funny is this is the first time in 7+ years I can play games with the latest, greatest graphics, but I find myself only wanting to play diablo. Greatness is greatness no matter how many decades have past.
I think those are pretty much sold out too, so unless Nvidia is able to up the production of them, I doubt anything will really change. I would imagine miners wouldn't mind shelling out the dough for them though, assuming the cost to performance ratio outweighs snagging up cards in mass like they've been doing.

It's pretty nuts how bad shit is right now. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a renascence in smaller/indie devs & mod teams putting out quality work. With all these studios crashing to the ground, maybe we're finally about to get back to making games that are driven by passion and not the almighty dollar???

Definitely. That introspection is carried through out the series. I think one reason might be because you're following three different stories/characters, instead of being "apart" of Easy Company like in BoB.
