I love and miss the 70',80' and the 90' (Fuck the 00') Photos from <1960 sound to "boring" to me, 1900-1960 for example are decades i wouldn't live in. But of course it is pure guessing, cause if have not lived at that time.

About the photos, I didnt feel a shit for the people in there. I remember when I was ~19, I began to realize that my behavior with the others was not being the appropriate in this world of disputes, i was to gentle with people. At that moment I began to transforme my heart into a rock and I did it. Today, i'm sure it was the greatest change i made in my fuckin life.

I was wondering if photo sources is the ONLY way to create realistic maps, wondering about the photoshop limits, get it?

I create this topic considering the situation of a texture artist on a studio with no internet connection (or temporarily). How does he gonna making the texts if the only way (i think) to make them is using the sources from internet? (Considering he has no sources on a media or in the computer he is using at moment).

I was checking some game textures (Tutorials and etc) over this and other forums and I didn't notice just a single map that don't use photosource.

Almost every tutorial from the game-artist.net request a download of a photo to blend.

I ask because I'm starting to create my own maps, and is kinda "strange" when you are without internet became unable to go to cgtextures to get some materials to create good texts.

You could see if you're running it in DX10 or so. If you are you could try out DX9 instead. If that wouldn't work you could always see if it works in OpenGL.
