You know what's sad? Your first models are better than what some people in my class are making and it's been 3 years they've been in 3d.

Like you said in other threads HP, that's what LODs are for

Ohh, congrats! Where did you pop the question? What camera did you use for the pics? Pretty sharp.
-
Probably the same engine as MW2 which is just a heavily modified quake3 engine iirc? I doubt they'd switch to another.
-
Ah ok, I see. Was just wondering.
-
Isn't that kinda illegal?

I find your categories for the different pics aren't visible enough too. Took me a while to realize there were different ones. Maybe align them somewhere else or somehow make them more visible? Other than that, your photographs are very appealing visually and have a nice consistent style to them.

Yeah, sometimes the in-game sounds drown out the vent mics, so I'd rather use the in-game one that drowns out the in-game sounds when someone talks.

Looks great, I love trailers like that.

Hmm, interesting. Who is it I can contact at Frankfurt about the position?
-
Think they'd help relocate a junior artist =P? I saw on the site that they are looking for an Outsourcing Artist at Crytek Frankfurt and from the job description, seems like something I could do.
-
Yeah, would definitely go next year if it comes back.

Just came back from CG Con, had a blast! Was a great experience and I learned lots about both the game industry and the film industry for modeling and learned lots of small neat little tricks especially during the character pipeline conference from two character modelers on AC2. Got some new contacts as well. 2 character modelers from ubi mtl Alexandre Troufanov and Nicolas Collings and a principal artist at Bioware Montreal Kolby Jukes.

Sure, just name the time and place one weekend...rooftop drinks sounds fun!

Ahhh, I'm itching to impulse buy the PC game lol. Is anyone planning to get it on PC so we can coop?
-
I managed to win two free passes today via this twitter contest of Game Jobs Montreal =D. So, my friend and I will be attending Saturday and Sunday. He'll be going to the concept artist conferences and me the modeling ones. I'll be bringing my CVs and try to get some more contacts.
Anyone in Montreal rich enough to be going (Dark, kleinluka? dunno about other montreal mapcorians?)

Bought the first one during Steam Holiday Sale, playing through it now though. Reallly liking it so far. Bought the 2nd one during this sale. Inferior to first one from what I hear, but for 2.50? Why not?
