Hi!

We are working on Dniepr a Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 Campaign.

This is the Chapter #03: Warm Welcoming made by Ankou. (i worked on this chapter too)

Since your helicopter lacked fuel, you were not able to get to the rally point, but you still arrived safe on the other side of the Dniepr river. There,you learn that the rally point is actually Prypiat, a city that was deserted for years until it began to be used as a refugee camp. Since your crash zone is situated near the city, along the shore,you decide to get there on foot. Even with the tall grass and the fog coming from the river drowning your senses, you finally reach the city streets after using the sewers as a way of access. Sadly, the contamination seem to have also got here. Wooden barricades, sheets hoisted on the rooftops. All those signs make you understand that others have tried to survive here despite the virus propagation but have failed. It's then up to you to clear a way out of this town, a true relic from the past stuck in time.

The Dniepr ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK by mael Vignaux is finished. You can now listen to three short parts of the six compositions recorded in the Dniepr MEDIA page of the site.

The sound design is being developed and is already well advanced. Enjoy a very complete and original soundscape during the different chapters of our campaign.

The chapter #02: Waters Of The Dniepr is 95% done! Still few architecture and textures modification are in progress, but it won't take long.

New screens of Chapter # 02: Waters Of The Dniepr have been added to the gallery. Do not forget that the level is still under development, which mean the images are subject to change in the final version. This section of the Chapter is demanding a great number of brand new new props and textures,since it has a completely visual atmosphere that contrast with the first chapter in the mall,which is still under construction. The atmosphere is slowly starting to creep into the game, but there is still a lot of work left.

Those images have also received changes in Post Production to add the picturesque effect.

Hi Guys.

We changed hosting for our web sites so the images were not available. New images are in lines. The level was hugely optimized for lighter configurations. Post-production was performed on the images.

Changes in the texturing were also made.

Somewhere is a short animated film made in pairs during our second year of training to MJM Graphic Design.On a two-month period, we had to trace all the stages of an animated film's pre-production and then get into its implementation, the environmental constraint is "The underwater". We wanted to keep the goal of imposing a rather contemplative pace. A real work of organisaiton was necessary to complete this achievement in a short time by understanding the long computing time of different scenes. A first version of the animated film is then output the name of "Somewhere V1.0".

Few months I decided to take only the project to produce a new version much more successful and personal. This version is still finished and available here. A Short Making-of is available too.

Inscriptions made by others survivors tell of a evacuation point that is staying for a short while on the border of the town,near the river. To arrive at Dniepr and rejoin this zone, you must cross the mall basement in construction that has been abandoned since the infection. Once you get outside, your team must go through parks that have been spared of the chaos that's been reigning in the city for the past months. Only the infected covering the high grass and the spots without light from the moon make accessing the evacuation point difficult.

It has been a while since we last gave any concrete information about the development of the campaign. Rest assured, we are working more than ever on the mod creation. Development of chapter #02: Waters of The Dniepr began a month ago, has shown by the images below. The chapter Scenario have also been released on Dniepr Website. Please also note that the scenario of the others levels have also been posted.

Even with a slight delay in the the development of chapter #03: Warm Welcoming due to a series of bugs, the level is nearing his finalization. A few screen shots are online to support the ambiance found in the chapter.

After weeks of developpement, we are proud to show you the final state of our "Mall Of Ukraine".

Scénario: you just arrive in the MALL OF UKRAINE left with no human signs since month because of the same infection that touched the U.S.while discovering all the shops you realise that somebody else tryed to survive here, the same way you do. Marks of life, tags and other imformations strew the mall's wall.

The brushwork of chapter #01 : Mall Of Ukraine is now finished. All that's left to do now to complete the level is putting the different scripts in place, the brand new music and sound effects , finalizing certain models, optimizing the level and coding the bots navigation.

Chapter #03 Warm Welcoming is also progressing smoothly,the first part of the chapter situated outside of the town of Prypiat has been completely redone in order to to give it the real ambiance found on the outskirts of Dniepr.

A video of the mod will also be available soon to show the state of the mod on our website.
