    That is just wrong.

I fail to see how. I still get the enjoyment of smoking, still get the nicotine, get to have clear lungs and not worry about lung/throat cancer or emphysema. Tobacco free since 10/31!

Got my first post-promotion paycheck and pulled the trigger on a Silver Bullet. HUGE improvement over the Ego batteries. Going from 3.7v to 6v is a night and day difference. Vapor is much warmer, and hits 10x harder. Think I'm going to have to downgrade the nicotine level though. The throat hit is out of this world, and will likely be even harder once I try out the dual coil cartomizers I picked up to go with it. Now I just need to get some stainless steel O-rings and mouth-piece to match the body.

This thing is stupid huge though. Feels like I'm holding a Mag-Light.

Why do people always point to SotC as the prime example of games as art?

And honestly, who gives a flying fuck at the end of the day? Games are entertainment. They don't need to be anything more than that.

Where the hell does it tell the player this!

In the same place it tells you how to assign number keys to your favorites.

I tried the AO trick last night. The incredibly minor increase in image quality didn't warrant the frame rate hit. In most situations you won't even notice it, and it causes other fun graphical oddities.

Haven't played it, and probably won't, but this still looks a lot like Follout 3, of coure it is polished nad improved but when i see some YT videos, this is just fallout and F3 wasn't the best looking game at it time

Wow, I never thought about it like that. And here I thought the only ties to FO3 was that it's open-ended and made by the same developer. I'll just go ahead and throw away my own experience with the game and agree with your assessment that it's a Fallout clone. Thank you so much for saving me the time of replaying FO3!

Is that the thing from Men in black, and it made you forget you like that beatiful awesome feeling of a morning cigarette?

Ha! It's an electric cigarette, and while I did like the morning smoke, I'm finding the morning vape to be a superior experience.

Bought a tank mod that is the dogs balls. Full day of e-smoking and works a shit ton better than the starter kit (more vapor, easier draw, better flavor). Plus no leaks. Nooch.

Also, Skyrim CE (for PC of course). Box is even bigger than the Gears 3 one.

There is something off about the single player campaign. All the right elements are in play for a solid thrill ride, but it's coming off flat.

Overly forgiving death mechanics where it is harder to fail and need to restart a segment than it is to beat it need to go. I understand accessibility, but there needs to be a better solution than near invincibility being nullified by reducing the number of bullets it takes to send me on a trip to a "clone center" by ratcheting up the difficulty. Give me check points any day over this.

    - Bioshock (infinite respawns at Vitachambers)

    - Section 8 (infinite drop-in respawns)

    - Rage (player is built like a tank and has 2 self-revives every 10 minutes)

must feel pretty shit to have spent all that money on a game you hate. i'll see if i can arrange getting your account locked for you, perhaps you can enjoy the origin customer service as well.

It does feel pretty shit, I agree. But I'm still going to play this and get my moneys worth.

yeah, it's like that time i got herpes after fucking a prostitute in estonia, i didn't get any treatment because i had already paid for the hooker so i figured i'd get my moneys worth.

It's almost starting to feel like Rick is bouncing to studios that are about to release a major game just so he has to rush to Mapcore to defend them when people aren't 100% satisfied.

I'm sure that's not the case, but the forum fireworks are still entertaining.

GTA IV was the only one I finished the story on. The rest either got meh 3/4s of the way through or made you do some horrid ridiculous mission, like the RC helicopters in Vice City.

Level/Game Design Tabs - Combine these two as your home page and just have your levels and games grouped together.

Unless you want to work for a small studio, you might want to figure out which specialization you enjoy more, level design or environment art.

UPDATE: Doom 4 "Indefinitely Postponed" Following Rage's Disappointing LaunchA source claiming to be close to the publishers of the recently-launched Rage has told Kotaku that, at a recent "company wide" meeting held in Dallas, Bethesda and parent company Zenimax made the decision to "indefinitely postpone" development of Doom 4.

Pete Hines, responding to our request for comment this morning, says no game in development has been postponed.

"We don't comment on unannounced games and DOOM 4 hasn't been announced (though I appreciate that id has previously referenced DOOM 4)," Hines said. "Games are done when they are done and no title under development at id has been postponed – indefinitely or otherwise."

Despite having been first announced back in 2008, Doom 4 has been on the backburner at developers id while work was completed on multiplatform shooter RAGE, which was released earlier this month to decidedly mixed reviews. While Crecente enjoyed it (and I'm digging it as well), the game's repetitive nature and numerous technical issues left it falling well short of many people's expectations.

The apparent source says that Zenimax and Bethesda made the decision based on the "the issues and reviews" surrounding RAGE's launch, which in their eyes has demonstrated "a serious lack of confidence in the project management at id".

Remember that, before you get too invested in this, at the moment the news is entirely unconfirmed. We've contacted Bethesda for comment and clarification, and will update if we hear back.
