I haven't had a game boner over a demo in ages. Well done, XCOM. Hype levels are already at maximum, and still being fulfilled!

Took 5 minutes to download everything from FileFront. Installing now.

Now that I think about it, I think the pack I bought was $299 because it had 2 Wiimotes, a charger stand, and some other stuff thrown in.

Auto-erotic asphyxiation. How does it get any better?

Pretty sure the Wii was $299 when it was first released.

Can it at least be neutron bombs so that whatever's left of ancient Greek architecture is left intact? Let's be real, ancient Greece and Gyros were the only good things to come out of that country.

An entire hour of gameplay footage (2 combat missions + new base overview):
I loaded up the original game via Steam to get my fix in until this comes up. The original X-com and Terror From the Deep are my #1 and #2 favorite games of all time. October can't get here fast enough.External Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. Xen sucked. It was where the game stopped being fun. Glad to see the good part of the game is ready!

Whoa! Apogee Software is beach in business, AND they're remaking Rise of the Triad? Fuck yeah!
Also, if you're in Dallas, Sentura, let's get some beers.

Grimrock has a pretty intuitive level editor for anyone who gets into it enough to want to create stuff.

Steam is lucky that Friday was payday.

Might and Magic Heroes VI - Deluxe 27.49 USD
From Dust 3.74 USD
Crusader Kings II 9.99 USD
Legend of Grimrock 5.99 USD
Binding of Isaac Bundle (Summer 2012) 2.23 USD
Summer Sale Indie Bundle Day One 9.99 USD
Alan Wake Bundle (Summer 2012) 9.99 USD
The Witcher 2 15.99 USD
Trine 2 3.74 USD
Vessel 3.74 USD
Mount & Blade: Complete 8.74 USD
Still under $100 for a metric butt ton of content. Long live Steam.

This pyro video is exactly the kind of thing I needed today. Thank you for sharing.

Quite happy with the endings now. The old ones just really didn't make sense. I also liked
Quoteshooting at that stupid child triggered the new 4th ending. You could also get it via Renegade dialog options.
The one big F-U the developers put in was disabling the ability to skip dialog and autosaving once you made your final decision, forcing you to sit through the 30 minutes of buildup all over each time you wanted to see the extra endings.
QuoteNo, you don't have to restart at the Cerberus base each time.

Don't worry, HP. I'm sure fan backlash will never require a need to redo the crates you make.

Kids these days thinking that it's OK to not have played the games we had when we were younger. You want to talk about games here? Go check out a little something called Miner 49er and get back to me, child.

Just temper your optimism for your pursuit of your passion with the knowledge that most employers will treat you like garbage and work you to death, potentially destroy your love for your hobby, and once you learn a level designer's tricks, you can never unlearn them when trying to play games. Oh, and there's a high chance that even if you do good work that you'll get laid off at the end of the project because some unbroken newbie who could be paid less for similar or better quality work will likely be put through the same cycle you just experienced (or because the game you poured all of your passion and personal/professional time into could flop).
Alternately, you could potentially live a happy magical life loving what you do. Good luck!
