How is the book? I've not seen it, but I could definitely be interested in getting it if it's good.

Short and gorgeous. There's a lot of really nice environment concepts in the second portion of the book.

Considering the price is about 20$ i'd say it's easily worth the money. Then again I love game art books.

Awesome idea for the first contest!

EDIT: Just checked out the tutorial. I didn't realize the sticker system was so... authentic? Either way it's awesome. It's like you could use those specs to send them off to the printers.

I'm down to join this time. I should have some free time in March around that time

If anyone on mapcore wants to work on a game during that time hit me up. I'd prefer working as a team. Too many solo projects lately :X

The picture is from the web, I just used them to illustrate what I had cooked recently. But here´s the recipe on the sauce I made!

5 slices of finely chopped pickled cucumber (pickled)

1 tablespoon of Heinz tomato ketchup

1 tbsp french mustard (American mustard) Swedish mustard gives the wrong flavor.

    1/4 tablespoon garlic powder

    1/4 tablespoon paprika

    1 Pinch of cayenne pepper

    1 & 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (home made)

    Display More

You mean yellow mustard right? Not dijon?

    How does that work?

Fat conductivity, you get an instrument with the same metal padded electric current detectors as on most fitness machines. It measures your body composition/fat.

Cool. Here I thought they were still using calipers.

Hi SoundsFerg and welcome to mapcore

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with painkiller specifically, it's a pretty specific game in terms of modding. I think you are best off going to the developer forums or any resources they release.

That said unless I'm gravely mistaken I think Painkiller is made on the Unreal engine which has a dedicated application for making levels. In many unreal engine games the pc version ships with the editor (although that's happening less these days). It's possible the dev team replaced that with a maya export pipeline but that seems odd and a lot of work. I would be surprised if they did that. Can you post a link to where you read that maya is the level editor?

EDIT : In the future the more appropriate forum for this question would most likely be this forum :

Electric current is probably the most accurate way of measuring body fat.

Well been working out steadily for about 6 weeks now. Funny thing is in the first 4 weeks I lost 25lb and there was no visual difference. In the last 2 (including one week which had my birthday and resulted in a lot of junk food being eaten) weeks I lost no weight but was also the first time that there was a visual difference.

Just goes to show weight should not be the only way to track progress.

21 Jump Street Surprisingly good movie. Funny and entertaining throughout. My partner has a huge ladyboner for Channing Tatum now. She spent about 30 mins googling images of him after the movie.

Yeah I only have the riot cop and that guy you release from the cage. I notice in the case of the cage guy, half of one of his abilities is only effective if there are other players.

I do prefer the starting guy right now, might just be because I'm so used to him right now.

I did a search for this game and couldn't find a topic on this game.

Has anyone else played it? I gave it a shot after a friend of mine from school recommended it to me. I meant to sit down for about 15 mins. That quickly turned into many hours.

Man is this game ever fun. It's an odd game. The levels seem to be made by hand but with specific chunks that are randomized to create a semi random world. The point of the game is to find a teleporter somewhere in the level. When you activate the teleporter you have to wait about 90 seconds and during that time all hell breaks loose.

Money earned from defeating enemies can be used to open random chests around the map and buff your character. Normally this could make the game susceptible to players farming every enemy and treasure chest in the level. To deal with this the game has a difficulty meter that increases over time so if you stay around too long farming in a level the next level will increase in difficulty too much to be worth it. Because you're money doesn't transfer between levels there's also incentive to find enough treasure chests to unlock so that you don't finish with a surplus of resources. All in all it's quite a fun balancing act.

Potentially the best thing about this game is that it's coop multiplayer, including local. I'm looking forward to trying that out.

    Here's some gameplay.

Didn't like it, i was expecting much more stunts from Statham and it's nothing like a "powerhouse thriller" as the poster says. Not even a thriller to me.
