holy fuck a back injury the first day now I"m nauseous as hell and throwing up at work.

I remember when I used to love sick days for the day off. Now they are terrible inconveniences.

I can't take my meds because I can't take them on a empty stomach and even if I do I throw them up

Started my monday jumping out of bed and simultaneously pulling my neck (permanent back injury from when I used to work in masonry). Now I get to walk around like the hunchback of notre dame in pain for the next few days.

The Wwise audio thing is definitely an issue. I'd look out for that with any engine that uses WWise or FMOD.

It kind of makes sense though because last I checked FMOD was 5000$ a license. An engine developer would have to pay some insane cost to avoid passing it on to engine licensees.

I googled Unreal engine audio engine and couldn't find any specifics about it. Did Epic implement their own audio engine? If so bravo. That is a monumental task to undertake.

I dont have experience with that but I just built a standing desk out of cinder blocks.

I have this chair with the ability to be insanely tall. That works quite well if you don't mind sitting about 5-6 feet in the air.

Spent about 400 on these parts. Make sure you have a power supply that can handle this. So far I can do a lot of things at the same time, stream full hd to my TV and play games on high/max settings. Gaming (depends on how heavy the game is) and streaming simultaneously can cause problems though. I've run Maya and UDK on this without any problems and I'm using regular 120 mm case fans.

I'm not into mini pc's. I use to have to build them which causes my dislike. Sorry Blackdog.

400 for everything? Wow. I think I should probably build a new rig now.

So you could do something like run Crysis3 at 1080p with high and still get a nice 60 fps?

can you explain what goes into it? Are there a lot of interacting layers?

It's one of those things where I start to worry the shader complexity is so large that it might actually be better to model it out in cases where you are fill rate limited.

Been playing the new tomb raider. I went in not expecting anything and was quite surprised at how good it is. Also I don't feel embarrassed playing the game anymore because she doesn't look like a balloon.

Ick the build editor was brutal back in the day. Started my life-long affair with habitually saving my work every 5 mins.
