I need now to start doing some minor optimization, as I can feel the FPS drop when standing in one base's corner looking towards the other. I bet the engine is rendering the whole forest, even tough you can't see it

Check it with sv_cheats 1 and mat_wireframe 1 instead of guessing.

I foresee this game to be the single most pirated game this weekend. I have no moral dillemas with it either.

You beat me to posting it.

It sucks when modders steal stuff from eachothers and other games but when a commercial release does it I hope they end up emptying trash cans for the rest of their lives.

So shall we start to speculate what the scenario will be? I think that you'll have to stop the koreans from blowing up the aliens with a war head but only after you realise that they are actually quite nice aliens.

But on a more serious note, I'm looking forward to it.

    Seagulls. Lots of them.

That has got to be one of the best comments in a long time.

Really cool concept, and since it is in crysis it'll look amazing.

Again, it was not specifically about crysis, rather a general development. I appreciate that no game will ever be perfect but it is disturbing that they drop support so soon after a game is published regardless of its bug-freeness.

As a matter of fact as soon as I have handed in my essay on Strategies for neural repair I'l take it out for a spin.

I haven't had time to play the game more than the demo but as a general observation of games that they are still in some problems when released.

It's a bit of a worrying development that first off games aren't really done when they are released and now they won't even be finished. If I'm gonna beta test I shoud get paid for it.

The world is too politically correct. I like it on the principle of that, the game in itself is rather useless. The only thing they made good aside from the non pc was porting it to linux

Anyhow, looks amazing, very amazing. Good thing I'm buying a new computer later this year Only thing that bothered me was the lod's snapping early on. Well, well, first trailer I guess.

I never feel good about pirating games, they are genuin work in some other way than a tv-series is I believe. Last game I remember pirating was Linux version of Postal2 just because it was "wow! A game for linux"

Somehow games feel closer to home.

I've been using XSI for a week or so and have managed to produce a good bunch of plants etc. Really easy to get a hang of, especially if you go with the free mod tool and watch the two hours or so of videos explaining the basics and how to compile and build a basic level in hammer. That the mod tool sucks is a completely different story though, which mainly comes down to bugs and limitations of it. I can't say if it is better or worse than the competition but at least it is easy enough to learn the basics in.
