I strongly suggest playing the demo. It may seem a bit difficult at first, but you have to consider they drop you off at the start of the second stage, so you basically skip all combat tutorials and your very first fight is against a huge mob of orks that are joined by a big Nob at the end.

The Jump pack mission in the demo is a blast as well, the jump pack mechanic feels very visceral if not a bit overpowered on the level presented.

If you are still reluctant to try it out consider the fact that it at least is not another grey/brown man shooter

Demo is out on steam. I've played it on my PC here at work with a mouse and keyboard and must say that they did a pretty decent job of mapping the brawler gameplay to it. It feels like a mix of Gears of War and God of War, a Gears God of War² if you would. I enjoyed the gameplay as did most of the people in the studio, but from the perspective of a Warhammer 40K fan I can say that this demo gave me some of the biggest nerdgasms ever. Their iteration of all the iconography and setting of warhammer is spot on.

I recommend any action shooter brawler fan to check out this game.

My highest moment on D2 was when my level 66 hardcore tankazon (sword and shield amazon) finally died at a nightmare Baal run. I had gone as far as Hell act 2 with her before.

And my level 81 skelemancer died at a random nightmare desert tomb when I was playing drunk and couldn't chug down purple potion fast enough after being poisoned... damn he had killed Diablo on Hell and was on a safe path to get hell Baal...

I miss those characters. And the only way we could play Hardcore on battlenet was to have extremely secluded and locked down password protected games.

    Good times.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the feedback, even from a small video.

next video record with more players then. It will feel much more action packed, right now you just have a few 1v1 confrontations and it feels like the levels aren't scaled well to the number of potential players.

This is the major gripe I have with the video, we had to record the scenes late at night in the studio an it was just me and 3 other guys =/

Would you be comfortable with calling your car manufacturer every time you had to drive your car? They could control the access you have to your car, and hey, everyone has a cellphone and cell signal is so common right?

Analogies aside, I think its stupid to need constant internet connection for SP games. I don't mind activating it online, and if the game is online, than that's ok... but SP? Even steam has an offline mode.

  • What are you playing now?

Diplo in Civ5 is always about knowing what the AI is thinking and exploiting it. You can use Diplomacy quite well, but if you piss of an AI civ to any extent they will go crazy and try to make unreasonable demands. There is also a code that will flag an AI civ as greedy, its the kind of civs that will come up to you asking for open borders and 5 of any strat resource and offering only open borders in return.

It can be used. The most fun if you are rich and there are 2 strong AI civs is to ally one of them, exploit the heck of the trades (Sell everything you have extra of) and then bribe the other in declaring war against your friend.

But its very poor indeed. Especially when you ramp up the difficulty level and, instead of playing smarter, they are simply given loads and loads of bonus resources...

Heck of a fun and addictive game though...

Can you spot all the wonders in this city?

I had not the time yet to touch up on my submission.

I guess the easiest way to do it would be to create a pool with ALL submissions and variations and each person can have 3 or 4 votes. Then we take the 4 or 5 top ones and make another pool with one vote each

Don't know what you guys think about it.

    Edit:

I really like this variation of my submission:

The game will have a maximum of 16 users on each map. We have 2 maps for 4v4 and 2 for 8v8.

Thanks Rick, that was inspiring! The video does actually look a bit shitty since it was done overnight on a rush for the event... but its the best we hve so far and I wanted to share

Skjalg, I appreaciate the feedback, thanks a lot. All particles are in placeholder status and I have already pointed the need for more blood splatter. I'll share your comments with the rest of the team and see what we can do about it.

    Keep 'em coming!

Right now it is a standalone executable for Windows and Mac, but we are developing it to be fully cross compatible amongst platforms – PC/MAC/WEB

Also we are not using dual lightmaps (its a single lightmap) and yes Occ Culling.

Edit: I asked one of our programmers your question. Answer: Yeah it is

I love every one of them!

I'll work some more from where I left off based on all your criticism guys. Hopefully we can get a vote between a couple AWESOME options!

And I love the level layout as a T-shirt.... heck, I'll just print it and staple it to my chest.

Hi guys, we had the greenlight from managment so I'm sharing more info on the game I've been working on for the past 7 months.

Please take a look at our preview video on Aquiris vimeo channel:

I've been working on it as principal game designer and principal level designer (that means the only one if you are wondering) although everyone on the team is extremely engaged in all stages.

The game currently has four levels and the array of usual weapons (AR, LMG, SMG, Shotgunss, Sniper and pistols). Its meant to be fast and intense somewhere between CoD's weapon handling and Counter-Strike pacing.

The game is being developed by Aquiris Game Experience and being published by Aeria Games. Note though that differently than most games on Aeria's catalog, this one is being developed for them.

The game is entirely made in Unity using Elctrotank Universe Platform for game servers and player profiles.

There is a lot still in development as we approach closed beta status. It's been a rewarding challenge so far and I can't wait to have a broader player base hammering at the game.

Please critique, discuss, comment, ask or rant away.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like it. It's not mine per-se since its just an evolution of everyone else's work

I'll try to make a couple modifications so some of the points outlined above are met.

The typeface in particular is just a placeholder, I haven't really found the typeface that matches the angles on the logo, but that's just a matter of time.

Thanks again guys, I'm really glad ya'll dig it

I feel like the idea is already there, just needs some proper work so it is compatible with printed media, dark and light backgrounds etc...

Let me know what you guys think.

The gradient colors are spheres of 255/128/128 on a 128/128/128 background. I think it looks good and stands out quite well from other game related communities out there in a good way. I don't think they look feminine if you set them against a darker grey.

Seriously looking forward to that temple level, looks amazing and you guys showed only the top of it.

Also, is that level where Skjalg was testing the character movement just a sandbox or is it an actual in development level?
