    Hello,

I have been improving my skill at photographing for the last few months and would like to share a part of my new stuff with you. I have stopped doing HDR. I now think about my pictures, the composition, the light and all the elements. Trying to catch the beauty of the landscapes lit by the greatest lights and to pass them on as exactly as I see them with my eyes.

I also set up a new Flickr gallery. For more information about the images below, please take a look at my new gallery by clicking here.

This was taken in Nistos, in french Pyrenees. 6 shots were stitched into this high-definition image.

Below are panoramas I took in Paris two weeks ago.

4 images combined in this photo taken from the pont Neuf, the oldest bridge of the city.

The last two panos are from Toulouse:

Are you using a french version of PS? It could be that your folders have different names from the english version and you have to copy it in the correct folder by hand. I know that this is the case for my german version of Photoshop. The Plug-Ins folder for example is called Zusatzmodule in my version.

Yes, I use a french version of Photoshop. Thanks for the tip!

I will try this as soon as possible.

The one with the dromedary and the second shot of Nepal's set are both stunning!

Beware of vignetting though! You can reduce it by using a larger focal length or fix it in a software

":2mdsi35j]I dunno, try reistalling PS and install everything again, this time without overcomplicate stuff.

I still have the problem even after reinstalling Photoshop... :\

    Quote from seir

I had similiar problem on Win 7 and I saw that I have two different Photoshop installation folders. First was in "Program Files" directory, second one was at "Program Files (x64)". The shortcut to PS was from x64 directory. I started photoshop.exe from directory without x64 and it runs great (plugin was also in this proper directory).

I have a single Photoshop installation folder located in G:\Program Files\Adobe

I am going to ask help in NVidia's forum

    Thanks anyway.

    Hello there,

I have installed this plug-in for photoshop but it kind of seems I have missed something when setting it up.

I downloaded the plug-in, then followed instructions for installation and I installed the plug-in in the standard folder G:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3

(the dds.8bi file is well installed and located in G:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Plug-Ins\File Formats)

I should be able to save as .dds format but this file format does not exist in the file list. The picture is a 8 bit colour image (RVB).

    Any help are welcome!

If you need more information, ask me please.

    Thanks in advance

awesome!!! Where is that? Love that colorful architecture.

Oops, sorry I was on holidays... the town is Toulouse, in the south of France.

Went in Arcachon for a couple of weeks, in the west coast of France so here are two panoramas:

Hey minotauro, well done on the last one!

You probably know it, but if you don't, here is a great site about all kind of art and digital stuff (lots of them are quite similar to your style). So I think the site is worth a look .

And another one taken in Toulouse at the Place du Capitole. Actually that was just a testing, wanted to try my skill out. Although I like this panorama, it's not very representative of the beauty of that square. I'll do it again in better conditions, of course.

Or go old school and use the volumetric light texture on a vertex scaled arch?

Haha , I think I prefer my ugly sprites ^^

Actually, I wonder whether a model of volumetrique light wouldn't be better...

    Quote from DysPatch

Wow! Those shots look great! You could definitely add some interesting lighting in that area. Like mentioned previously, either spotlights or even some fire could light that area up nicely. Or maybe some of those lamp post strewn about could still be lit.

Yea, I'll set up some fires! Someone (Tranxen 51) is making a particle for me

Yeah, I know, these beams suck but I can't do better with a point_spotligh. Indeed, there's no sprite of a beam whose width is the same along the beam.

The length is also very limited, it cannot be longer than 1000 inchs (buildings are about 700 inchs tall).

I may remove them if I can't make them better...

I'm going to try something like this

    Quote from Sentura

i guess it depends on the angle too...

that depends on the lens and the brightness around as well.

    Quote from JeanPaul

If you think a 100,000,000 candlelight spotlight is going to illuminate directly forward and nothing around it

Certain type of laser can do that ^^

Those spotlights arent illuminating anything though

Yea, but the goal of those spotlights isn't to lit the ground or such, they're anti-aircraft searchlights.

    Quote from Wikipedia

Searchlights were used extensively in defense against nighttime aerial bomber raids around the time of World War II. In particular, pairs of searchlights spaced a known distance apart were used to determine (via triangulation) the altitude of enemy bombers, so that the fuses on anti-aircraft flak shells could be set appropriately for maximum effect. In addition, the lights may have blinded bombardiers using optical bombsights.
