Looking for some info of the project and your experience too. "Map Developers" are people too and want to know if there's point to waste time and thought into providing you info while not receiving anything back.

I like Fallout Shelter. Been playing it since it was released. I'm not expanding too fast in terms of the amount of dwellers and I'm gonna take sweet time to train them with whatever rooms I have available. UI could indeed use some love. Right now, two dwellers could end up in same spot during a fight and one of them might run out of health because I can't select him/her behind the other one for healing.
FO:S is great game though. They have some of the citybuilder/tinytower mechanics fit nicely to the Fallout's theme. Also, it's not a money grab at all so far. The possibility for IAP is actually quite hidden and it's "gambling". Random decks of cards (resources, dwellers, items).

I really hope the ironsight thing is just optional and gun shoots as accurate without ADS, just like in Wolfenstein: TNO.
-
I really hope they make the AI like in older DooM: No waypoint-paths or anything. Once they hear or see you, they start wandering around and could end up anywhere trying to look for you or if getting in trouble with other hell's forces (monster-infighting).

Yes the update is amazing for those that have access to overwatch.
I still need a partner to do some Co-Op Mission btw so if you feel like playing them message me on steam

Could it be too many vertices on one face and thus it breaks the engine/compile process? Try splitting the brush with white texture in to 4 pieces vertically.

Played the game yesterday a bit (~15min), few thoughts/impressions:
*Game looks pretty good. Sure it's black and white and I would've liked some more color to distinguish better all the characters.
*Moving seems bit annoying as it's "animation based" in a way, that you can't walk-n-stop like in Source games middle of the step you're taking. This led sometimes me walking too much out of cover when I just wanted to peek a little bit.
*Bullet tracers are quite subtle, can't really trace quickly the direction I'm getting shot from. Same goes for when shooting someone and not really seeing fully where the bullets actually went from the crosshair or to see the spread.
*Close-up executions seem to be quite random and sometimes they're triggered when you're really not having time for those.
*AI can be stupid as fuck. Like, cops behind corner and shooting that corner. Damn wallhackers not realizing there's no bullet penetration in this game.. Also civilians walking into buildings where I've been already emptying mags on someone.
*Performance is really good. I think I have all maxed out graphics wise on 1080p/144hz and it runs all smooth.
*It's certainly adults only game, there are no kids.. I guess that would've gone way further from the already "this is going too far"?
*Grenades have quite short fuses. One mistake and you have no time to move out of the way of the blast (thought I can throw grenade through police station's front door window).
*Loading times are bit too long, especially when I installed the game on PCI-E SSD drive (has way faster read/write speeds than SATA3 SSD drives do) I'd expect those loading times to be bit faster. Could be just me being impatient and loading times just being normal.
*Game's actually not that much of a "murder simulator", considering it's possible to stomp heads to soft pile of gore and finish off people with a smack of gun's buttstock (at least I found this quite tame way to finish off someone).
Maybe I'll write more when I have played more.

Seems like really short and simple layout. Also, not really fan of routes that require going away from the map center (route from assumed T-spawn to upper bombsite).

I think the trailer looked fantastic! To me, the last two Fallouts (3 and NV) have been all about the story, environment, exlporing and just the feel of things when you play (in the large open wasteland). At least I enjoyed them a lot despite some errors here and there. This new one seems it's going to be even better! I sure as hell hope so. :v

@Skybex After reading that my money would be on them making the guardian gamemode a standalone option after the operation has passed.
It would be a pretty different angle from what's currently available, but I think it feels very reminiscent of the CoD co-op challenges. While not probably to the liking of the rather vocal competitive community, I think it would be quite popular if no reason other than it's fresh (fingers crossed for leaderboards).
@Vaya the old prefix for VIP maps was as (assassination), such as "as_oilrig" and "as_747", and I don't see why valve would have any need/want to change it. I reckon an unofficial assassination map could be made. someone should do it, and it might jump start the return?
Arms Race was "Gun Game" before. Could also be thought that there would've not been any need or want to change that.

So, a bunch of newbs asking how to make water and how can a map leak if the file is in HDD that seems to be all dry by a quick look?
My body is ready.

Congratulations to all who got their maps in the operation!
