This map looks so rad! I'm sure Valve will be adding this to their map rotation. Great job Team France!

[Blocked Image: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v221/deathcrush/bm_c2a4c0002.jpg]So how many people actually managed to get to this platform?! I got onto it by some miracle after 90 million attempts....

I got there on the 2nd try. It was quite easy actually. I think you can also get those by wasting few shots with glock to push 'em to conveyor and then picking 'em up. Small trade.

Guys, use charged Tau-cannon shots and the heli comes down pretty easily. It did in HL1 too the same way.

Also, I'll be writing my thoughts tomorrow about BM now I have finished it.

I've been reading from comments/reviews, how mostly the scary things in Grey are actually jumpscares.. *sigh* Seriously, when can we get a proper horror game that doesn't involve *SUDDEN LOUD NOISE WITH SOMETHING QUICKLY APPEARING ON YOUR SCREEN OUT OF FUCKING BLUE* elements as the main (and/or only) scare of horror-elements? I'm kind of sick how I get all excited of new horror mod being released (like Cry of Fear) just to notice, it's basically just fucking jumpscares. Damn people, get the fuck creative with that stuff already!

I enjoyed Penumbra series alot (well, the first two obviously as they had story), because it wasn't jumpscare-shit. Sure, it had few spots that made you probably jump, but the real horror was the feel that you're just a helpless twat in some arcticbase without proper power to kill anyone (at least in Black Plague) and how the immersion was built with, sneaking gameplay, sounds and music and other interactive stuff.

/rant about jumpscare games being "horror games".

Left side for sure with little less red. Right side looks bit pukey or something, which I wouldn't play for more than few rounds in row.

Love the overview shot! Can't wait to see more of the map.

As I've played this CS:GO after release for some 20+ hours, I must say this game is actually pretty promising, especially for a 12.59€ game. There still exist some retarded stuff from time to time, like getting "stuck" on Team Selection -screen or some odd lag-spikes occurring usually in cs_italy and de_inferno (maps with chickens), but it's getting somewhere. I'm definitely creating at least 1 map for this game (probably it will be generic Dust-themed map, because I have always wanted to create one since 1.6 times when I thought only engineers can do level design).

So yea, I seriously recommend people giving this a try (getting into it with open-mind, not all negative-nancy way) and practicing a bit more if you're getting donkeypunched, while at the sametime being uber-pro in CS 1.6.

Yea, what da fukk guys not getting HL1 played through? I played it when I was a kid (like I ever got out of that phase anyway) and it was pretty logical and relatively easy game, even though I had some weird russian "copy", but that didn't stop me from having fun and playing the game through. It's like common knowledge to have HL1 played through if you call yourself an FPS-Player, especially for Level Designers HL1 is a must-play.

INTERSETING, looking forward.but does this mean it will be episodic?

    DLC probably..

But yea, finally Black Mesa is happening! At least it seems very likely this time that the release date will be staying true.

Done! MapCore CSGO steamgroup can be found here. I made it so that everyone can join, make group announcements and create group events.Have fun!

That's what I kind of tried to avoid with saying pretty much this: "Someone from Mapcore group should just announce CSGO games, without making new group solely for this." Also, your group states: "You don't have to be registered over at https://www.mapcore.org to join this group, but that kinda is the idea :)" which kind defeats the whole purpose of having "Mapcorian-only" matches in that group. There are probably already thousand and one groups for arranging CSGO games for random people. Here the deal was to have matches arranged for Mapcore people, the community folks, not just some random people.

How about someone from Mapcore group just announces a CSGO game when it's happening, rather than make a new group for it?

Was this game made entirely by valve by the way? Cause it doesn't have usual polish from valve games.. really hoping the final release is more polished than this beta version. :ssj:

Nope. CSGO is made by Hidden Path Entertainment. Valve is just acting as hypemachine/publisher here. HPE also did gun-animations for L4D2, which in both games are poor (though they are little bit better now in CSGO). Indeed CSGO could use that Valve-polish, because some maps have still odd corners you get stuck (cs_office's CT spawn's rightside smaller storage room's windowframe, de_nuke's window holes are still blocked) and overall some spots look bit rushed IMO.

Damn that looks so awesome man! I really like the Dungeon Crawler type of camera more than the FPS view. Movement speed should just be just a little bit slower.

I like your style JeanPaul! If I'm ever gonna pull some time out of my ass and make a TF2 map, it will pretty much be inspired by your work.

I remember playing original ROTT in my kindergarten. The nurses didn't know shit about computers, let alone DOS, so I played ROTT and Wolf3D, while they thought I played some faggy card games like Solitaire.

Definitely gonna check this remake out because it looks pretty cool!

Not sure if it has been told somewhere before, but:

How does the gameplay work in INS2? Will there be basically 5-cp maps like in INS before? Are there any "smaller" gamemodes, where the focus would basically be just KotH type of thing in a rather small maps?

i'll buy even if I'm not a big cs player. But I started making map for cs 1.6 so I want to continue on this one The SDK is cooler than TF2 one btw.

Are you saying CSGO Beta SDK is good? Well, I can't say much because the epic amounts of memory it seems to use. After an hour or little more mapping, textures in Face-Edit start using the image of last one used and animations on characters stop (not that I wanted them in the first place anyway) and the Hammer overall starts getting bit slow and eventually it crashes. I have 6GB of DDR3 memory, so it shouldn't be a problem really.

Incredible work, even with the few small flaws it had (some fps issues on large outdoor areas, few "lazy-collisions" and few other small small things)! Like mentioned above, it was like Valve quality.. except alot better. Great job people who were developing this! I wish there was more of it though..
