extreme fps drop looking this direction
games can take forever, since apparently there's no sudden death.

and there's some height variation between capture points, but the capture points themselves are uninteresting and flat.
that's it. cool map!

I did it before but i just can't remember how. I just remember using vtfedit to do it, maybe you should try.
-
just extract the materials from the css gcf and put them on the right folder inside the hl2dm folder. but you shouldn't do that.

I'm the author of the 'cradle' map for the mod GoldenEye: Source
-
GoldenEye: Source is a modification of Half-Life 2, with only one goal in mind; to bring the memories and experiences from the original GoldenEye64 back to life using Source Technology. We want you to look at this mod and remember the first best multiplayer first-person shooter ever made. We are doing our best to bring in the opinions of the community to create a game that everyone is going to enjoy. But, we are not here to recreate the game exactly how it was in GE64, a lot of things have changed since they first designed that game, mainly in technology and gamers experiences. We are here to take the game even further but at the same time provide a lot of those fun elements that hardcore GE64 fans will enjoy. We've got experienced team members all across the board, from professional level, to amateurs looking to make it into the business working hard to make this dream a reality.
#4 most anticipated mod on moddb in 2005
#3 mod of the year on moddb in 2006
Editors choice for reinvention on moddb in 2006 (the only mod to win two awards)
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic C++ programmer to join the team. Experience with a wide range of game and low level systems (networking, graphics, physics, memory management etc) will be useful, but not essential. Requirements
Excellent Knowledge of C++
Excellent Communication Skills and Motivation.
Good debugging skills.
Experience in the following would be useful, but by no means essential:
PC game development experience

Talent - this is far more important than qualifications for us!
Commitment to both the product and the team
The ability to see a project through to the end
Ability to work under time pressure
A good demo/samples of work
Things we don't particularly look for
18+ years of age
Games industry experience
Qualifications in the relevant subject (they can help, but aren't essential)
*Any Additional information we should know about, let us know*
Please post your application/portfolio in a new thread in our forums ( http://forums.goldeneyesource.com/ ). Please treat your application seriously, and use proper punctuation and grammar to the best of your ability.
Sample work should be complete, try not to post WIPs. Cite all things relevant to the work (programs used, etc.) These cites will of course be relevant to the dept that you are applying for.
Thanks again for applying and for showing interest in our game!
Sincerely,
GES Dev team
