the showbudget shows you more accurately what's affecting your map's performance, since it's split up in many categories. you can get rid of some props to make up for a more complex 3d skybox, for example

which has roughly 4x the population of spain

actually spanish is spoken by more people than english and portuguese, but i doubt that would happen. there's such a strong bond between the characters and their dubbers in hl2...

detail textures are ugly anyways. you're better off without them

did you set the texture detail to very high? when i do so, i get nasty texture artifacts and when i quit the game, i see artifacts in windows too

btw, mine is a radeon 9800se, buggy
