performance is really smooth now, like I said, the biggest thing right now is just the balance issues when you're playing on the hardest difficulty and some few minor design issues.

I know it's only in early access, but I've been having a ton of fun with this game, especially on stalker difficulty level. It's basically survival in Canadian wilderness in winter. Lot of choice and usually consequence for each choice. Since it's early access there are of course a few hurdles, with the sandbox being the only game mode, and there being some unfair mechanics in place currently. However, for the most part of the game, it is a great wilderness survival simulation.

Totally agree with that notion @Sjonsson, monsters feel very out of place. I would have enjoyed it more just as a puzzle/exploration game than a horror game.

But the biggest change on my fitness life has been dropping the Gym as a main activity. Me and my Grilfriend have started on Kung-fu lessons and I can't tell you enough how parctcing such a martial art has changed our lifestyle. We have never been healthier and more in shape, despite eating whatever we like. We are by no means "model-fit" but we are in shape. I've been able to perform jumps and kicks that I never thought possible before. If the Gym is like a koream MMO we have finally gotten to the best guild and are doing regular raids with them.

The training is heavy. We go in twice a week (and run on the weekends to keep in shape) starting off with warm-up and cardio then practcing stances and kicks/punches and then training on whatever the master tells us to. We do Eagle Claw Kung-fu and I'm almost to the point where a weapon will be assigned to me (cross my fingers for long-spear) and we finish off with core muscle-building and relaxation.

It's been great, Kung-fu has been the perfect balance between a full physical activity, something intriguing and exciting to work with and adding to our plives both physically, mentally and emotionally.

It's cool seeing other people also practice some kind of Kung Fu. I do Baji Quan myself (if you were interested in spear, this would probably be a style to consider) which is a great workout as well since it's all about using all of your power in one hit. There's not a lot of cardio and most of the power is internal, so I combine the training with going to the gym right before, ending up in some 3-4 hour long training sessions 2 times a week.

contrary to what has been said, the article I linked didn't say to cut off carbs, it just said starvation mode doesn't exist. No energy in your body is exempt from being used, and it's backing up that fact with sources every step of the way. Your body can't magically conjure up calories to make up for stuff you don't eat.

I agree with knj that ‌counting calories is the best way to control your diet, which is also something the article makes a huge point of.

On a lighter note I finished my first obstacle/mud run this weekend. It was interesting to run it as a level designer, seeing as it's paced between just standard running and obstacles. The challenges were nice as most of them required teamwork, which made running in a team so much more fun. Some of them were also much worse than expected. Who knew you'd get the longest brainfreeze after immersing yourself fully in ice water for just a few seconds? Some of the challenges were also in the north sea, some of which included a mild waterboarding effect as well as going into waist deep water to take a ladder up to a bridge... kind of like playing call of duty SP with like 100 other people. Definitely interesting as an inspiration and experience, will likely do it again if my body ever recovers.

I didn't call you uneducated, I said you should educate yourself. With the way the media portrays everything currently, it is getting harder to rely on them to get the correct picture. I ask you to research things before coming with claims that reinforce a negative stereotype of people.

You're making a huge assumption here that everyone who is a refuge has a family of 4 people total.I don't think that's true, and even if it was, a million people in total dispersed all over Europe is NOTHING. And this rumor with middle eastern families having more kids is bullshit propaganda. Why would they get more kids when it isn't sustainable for them to do so? Nobody has that many kids anymore because nobody can use that many kids for anything. In the olden days it may have been true, as it was for western countries where farmers needed the extra help of children to make do. Educate yourself.

I don't believe the fact that people don't want to take in refugees. I believe people are being driven to this point by fearmongering politicians who are looking for the lowest common denominator so they can get more votes next election. By far the biggest culprit in this scenario is the wrongful portrayal of refugees by the media. Only roughly 250,000 refugees have come into mainland Europe, whereas most of syria's 17 million population has stayed behind in 'safer' areas in Syria as well as refugee camps on the Turkish borderland (4 million in Turkish refugee camps).

There is no invasion, there's a small city's worth of people who want to migrate into Europe because their current living conditions are abysmal. Between all the European countries, having an extra 250k people enter should be a breeze. Anything else is just propaganda and fearmongering. Don't buy into that shit and stay on top of the facts in these matters. Educating yourself on these things is free for now, so do it while they still let you.

It appears this game went completely under the radar, but this video made me rock hard so I suggest you watch it. Combat seems very interesting and skill based, but best of all it actually feel authentic even from just looking at it... even if it's knights fighting samurai or whatever

Welcome to Reality: Prologue
The world saw chaos and turmoil for years following the Terrorist invasion of 2011 on freedom loving countries. These Terrorists wanted only one thing, revenge against the Americans who battered them so many years before. In return the Americans would only do this again, but ten times worse than the first. The Americans collected its allies once again to do battle with the Terrorists. These allies contained the smallest armed forces of all, the Canadians. The Canadian armed forces were small and under equipped but had strategy over muscle. These nations fought the Terrorists for five years before they had been wiped clean.

By 2017, the world seemed to be calming down again, all except the Americans. The Americans began to look through battle reports and causality counts. After three months of doing so, the American researchers found that the Canadians seemed to leave the Americans to bite the dust while they regrouped and snuck around behind or assaulted first. Either action allowed the Terrorists a clean shot at the Americans and created larger causalities for the Americans than the Canadians. This information angered the American government and they began to look for ways to punish their former partner. They eventually figured there was no political option, only a military option. The Americans would attack Canada and annex it for supplies.

In 2018, small American army detachments made their way into the Canadian borders to begin their attack. These soldiers went in under the cover of a training exercise. The date was July 4th, American Independence Day, the reason being, American pride. American pride is catching a fellow, supportive, loyal neighbour with their pants down? At 1230hours, the Americans made their move. While most people were still at work, the American soldiers cut communications and detained police and other law enforcements. The operation was going smoothly for the Americans, except in Windsor Ontario. Windsor was home to the 21st Service Battalion, a reserve unit. These reserves were lead by no one it would seem, but they had icon leaders. The first was Colonel PanFrie, a thirty year old male who had not seen too much action in his career. The somewhat experienced Master Chief Tycho was 29. Both of these commanders and their troops despised Americans and when they had come over the border, they had intercepted them immediately.

Windsor soon became the American problem; it was the main city that connected the Americans to all of Ontario. When the team had failed to report in four times, the Americans sent a second team in. This team was quickly subdued and a third team had to be introduced. The third team ended up like the first two, so the Americans changed plans. Detroit became a launching pad for the American forces. Artillery stations began to flatten Windsor and troops began to cross the river. The reserves were not happy and began their resistance, starting with the evacuation of Windsor.

The blink ability in Dishonored always felt out of place for me. Why would you have a mechanic that let's you skip gameplay? Do you not want to play the game? Granted, I think the Icarus Dash has less problems than a Blink ability, but I can still imagine there will be a fair share of problems with it given it has what seems to be a lot of reach. I'm also not a big fan of the 4 kill-non-lethal takedown, it makes it seem to easy to get ghost. But on the other hand the fact you can switch between augs and weapons is cool, I guess it will be kind of like the Bioshock design which is nice.

Sick movie. Great respect for Charlize Theron for playing potentially the best female lead role this decade. Action was great. Nux's story took the movie from a 9/10 to a 11/10. Looking forward to Furiosa's story, and hoping Nux Jr. will star in the final movie and take over from Max himself as he'll probably have to sacrifice himself for redemption.

A+ would watch again
