what i wrote is what gets put into my head when i hear the word "indie". it's probably not an accurate depiction of the world of indie games, but that doesn't change my word association.

the word indie directly puts me to the assumption that the game is made by williamsburg hipsters and that the gameplay consists entire of them trying to show me their "art", which is usually some convoluted way of saying something that would otherwise be (and honestly still is) trite as fuck. i don't care about hipsters, i don't care about their feelings or their "art". and i don't think they do either, because if they did, they'd put a hell of a lot more work into what they're doing to convey it.

looks cool and interesting, and i will be disappointed when they turn this into another run of the mill cover based shooter with shitty pacing.

i don't see why women should be treated any different from men in any industry. that being said, i have already had the dubious pleasure of meeting some that got into the industry based less on their work and more on their physical appearance... which is a thing you don't really see with males.
oh well, in a 100 years or so this will balance itself out. until then i think i have better things to do.

it's kind of a shame, i sort of like the wvw game, but it's still nowhere near the pvp in the game they drew inspiration from. it seems renewed in a worse way. which is sad, the original way of this sort of pvp was (and probably still is) the way to go. 3 varied factions with some similarities, differently tiered classes dependent on faction. it was beautiful~

i bought both alan wake and american nightmare, personally i didn't find them fun (as you said, lack of gameplay variation and pacing), but the story is sort of interesting. american nightmare is pretty much the same, except you get to do sisyphean work by traversing the same spaces multiple times, and them not getting more interesting. midwest alan wake > new england alan wake though, art direction wise.

waiting for xcom to be lowered even further... WILL IT HAPPEN?!

Seems pretty low to me.
If the production values will live up to the concepts anyway.they're requesting more funds than inexile did for wasteland 2 and obsidian did for project eternity. it's not just that it's too much, it's also that it's very unlikely so many people want this funded.

£350,000... seems like an awful lot for a game like this...

i read a hangar 16 review of half life map years back that put a similar scenario into an otherwise very plain map. quote, "[...] maybe there's portal to the best map ever made. maybe, and most likely, there is nothing."

i just played it i think my brain is still recovering, holy shit it gets intense and trippy at the end. probably the first time i've strained my eyes in a game.
also lol at the credits, everyone being owner and producer and only like 3 out of 8 people actually working on the project.
