Not to sound fanboyish here or over protecting but:It's pretty usual that North America is cheaper than europe (check out what you pay for camera-lenses or graphic cards or wacoms).

it is true that america is cheaper, but how does that equate to a "direct" exchange? rather, when they add taxes and everything on top, the price is marginally the same; see example by hourences. it's not a valid argument and it definitely does not justify the general simplification of 1 dollar being as much worth as one euro, let alone a pound sterling.

Tbh I think it is to leave it to the retards wish it was just an error but the whole game screams "ULTRA NOOOB FRIENDLY" or something like "FALLOUT 3, AS IF IT WAS THE FIRST FALLOUT GAME EVVERR!111"

sadly this is also why it was a huge success. i'll bet if they remade it into the oldschool isometric style, it wouldn't sell half as well. or well, maybe it would, but some publishers are not willing to take that risk and rather want to play it safe.

so basically there's this flash game where you play this one ball that's about to get busted alot. it's fairly entertaining and comes with a level editor... thought it would be interesting to post and see if someone can come up with some awesome levels.

Peris, that looks great ! Did you tried to export the mesh to another sculpting program like mudbox ? I'd really like to know if voxels make a good uniform mesh usuable by mudbox or suchNice acumen, that really got a 70's look, i would see that in a james bond with sean connery

A little screenshot of my first Company of Heroes map, that's a lot more work than i thought it would be, thanks to dux for getting me into it .

Perhaps its worth noting (for possible hostility towards me), I am of Persian descent... granted, it's not much of a problem here in the states, ironically, as most people think I'm Mexican (living in Texas). I'm assuming that most Europeans are educated enough to actually realize I'm NOT Mexican, so how would you say most people treat Middle Easterners there? The same degree of discrimination as in the states? And I highly appreciate the wealth of information as far as destinations go. I'm definitely not too enthusiastic about going to the Balkans with its volatile situation, but in any case, keep it coming!

it depends on where you go really. denmark is one of the more xenophobic places in europe (as far as an entire country can be xenophobic within legality), but it's usually more a quiet arrogance in the air than someone slagging you down the street. people are apathetic.

I haven't even mentioned England and Scotland you smart ass. But sure send him to Serbia. He will make many friends there as american.

so you're implying that all serbians are cold blooded killers with a vengeance for people from america? i love prejudice and bigotry too! also, let's all start calling each other smart asses for copying another persons statement because you agree with it.

i was implying that the culture wouldn't much different than that of america, and therefore might not be as interesting as other countries. however, you're obviously right that he shouldn't go anywhere but the heartland of europe since that's where everything good and right and true comes from and everything else is the land of thievery, death and murder. piss off.

To my echo my thoughts when I first saw this, it seems like it's a show that has good potential and good content, but is held back by some failings of general TV principles that makes it feel a bit awkward to watch. If they can get past that I think it could become something worthwhile, although Yahtzee is clearly the least bad presenter and should possibly do it solo.

spot on with the awkwardness, that was what initially put me off. it was generally uninteresting as well; i mean, i love games, and i somehow never thought could get bored of watching stuff related to games... until now. maybe slightly exaggerated, but the show was off in some way.

I wouldn't recommend any of the smaller countrys for a first time visitor of europe. I believe italy, france, germany, spain, greece and maybe scandinavia is exactly what a american wants to see the first time he comes here.If i will ever get interested in traveling america i would start with New York, Washington etc. not some obscure insider places that i haven't heard before to put this in perspective.

    Quote from Chunks

I've only been to England, Scotland, and France. I enjoyed them all, but the culture was too similar. Spain is next on my list, either that or some eastern european country.

Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, France, and perhaps England.

not a bad choice of countries. personally i'd probably want to explore more of the inbetween countries you don't hear about that much, like croatia/serbia/belgium/ireland rather than just the ordinary "germany, france, england, italy". you do have greece on that list though, which i'm going to refer to as a journey to the land of win. as for denmark, i reckon that the only two interesting places that are close to sweden would be roskilde (for your viking history lesson) and copenhagen (for your drinking needs).

    Well, he can't help it.

I'd be nice if they edited this together as d3ad seemed to be under a bit of "SPEAK NOW" pressure, but that said it was a pretty nice interview and they asked nice questions that allowed you to talk about your mod rather than some kind of interrogation.

    hahaha, that was fucking funny.

weather mostly. europe sucks in winter. i'd even say go as early as may or april, though you may be unlucky to catch some snow if you start up north (we had snow at easter last year). tourism as far as i know goes on all the time... but that's not necessarily a bad thing, especially if you stay in hostels. i've met some awesome people on my journeys in the US and the far east... chances are you'll find the same in europe.

do you have a plan of which countries to visit?
