neither ZP or AVGN ever got old, it's just you not getting the humor anymore. it also serves as a good contrast to the rave everyone seems to be giving this game, i'll have to see for myself how 'good' it is.

at this point i really feel like i have nothing to go on, so i'll just forget about it for a week then act surprised when whatever it is comes up.

the name dropping in the end was a bit cheesy, but holy shit it was well put together, and i liked the ending (
Quotemaybe because i didn't get that it was scorpion
). the old mortal kombat movies were cheesy as fuck, i really like the more 'realistic' approach.

i really gotta pick up on it. my friend started watching it after seeing clay davis, and he's all rave about it as well.

oh god yes snaps. simple interface; make a few powerful tools rather than a million ones you'll never use. as much as people hate it, i would definitely look at the hammer editor for inspiration.
-
holy shit it's a new game starring saxton hale as the protagonist.
-
it's unnecessary. i really hate this trend with 3D shiet, it's annoying to watch a movie with fucking glasses on constantly and it just tires me out. just ditch it already. why not put research money into something worthwhile such as virtual reality instead? it'd be much better to have a movie where things are going on all around you.

I know some people who always liked that they started with scripting first before coding object oriented.personally I started with some weblanguages. And then in school I learned C++ Much students here had never programming experience and they learned C++
I don't say you have to start C++ I really don't. Because its really difficult. But I think C is a good midway. Maybe even C#
C and C# are a world apart. C# is pretty much java in the .net build, whereas C is still a procedural language. nevertheless, the two languages give good insights into how programming works on different levels. i wouldn't suggest you to start out with C (or objective C either, sounds like C++), but any object oriented language instead. i think scripting is yet another paradigm to understand, i find it hard to look back at languages that are so lightly typed.

i like that you all think that we're gonna die by our own hand, or the hands of terrorists factions. personally i think it's much more likely that we accidentally create an AI that wipes us all out.

for those of you interested in programming, it's just been taken a step further:
QuoteSynthetic biology aims at producing novel biological systems to carry out some desired and well-defined functions. An ultimate dream is to design these systems at a high level of abstraction using engineering-based tools and programming languages, press a button, and have the design translated to DNA sequences that can be synthesised and put to work in living cells.

i'm really interested in what they'll do with this and how they will progress. with any luck we might just save ourselves from ourselves with technological life or implants into the human body (and if this is the technological singularity we're headed against, then oh shit).
