yeah, you still don't get it. i didn't have a game idea that in any way reminisced silent hill, i had an idea about the dimensional transition like they made it look it the trailer with geometry burning away. christ some people are thick.
Well it's not surprising at all. Russia does horrible things to other countries and that is enough reason for people to get fed up with the situation and blow their shit up. Russia had it coming and they knew it.
i think the image of the security breach is going to hurt russia as well. international companies will be more hesitant with trade deals in russia, and i'm sure they can kiss their winter olympics hosting goodbye. but yeah, they have done atrocities to chechnya, and putin even promised "vengeance" for those killed. it's dumb really, because the people in russia don't wnat chechnya under russian rule, but the russian government does for some obscure reason.

Why bother with scripting? For anything level related you should only be concerned about connecting boxes with arrows using the flowgraph editor :derp: For anything else I presume it is still LUA.
i guess you could call flowgraph a kind of language too, then, since it has its likeness to UML.

I believe that if you ever make your own game, it won't be a big success... You'll get a few fans that absolutely adores the game and thinks its the best shit ever created, but most people won't understand it.

the characters are very unreal and their texture maps seem messy, but i really like the way the game transitioned into the "otherworld" or whatever you call it. i had a similar idea for a game once.

i also think that the 3 texture challenge sounds like a good idea
actually, i should add that there should be a few different suggestions for contests, but that they should all fit the general theme of being small and manageable. 1024^3 is no doubt the flavor of the month, but i am sure there would be other attractive modes that would need to be tried out. perhaps a suggestion thread is in order?

mapcore definitely needs this, perhaps once every month if people can muster the support for it. i know other forums have been doing such challenges, so why not us?
i would also like to see another 1024 dm contest, as those seemed to kick the most ass. the 20 brush challenge was fine, but there were too many categories to vote for in, and for me that made judging an issue. and i can imagine it's going to be an issue on how to tally all the votes together. keep it simple.
isn't this largely an unnecessary poll option when we have voted on the specifics of each level?
it was a hard choice between a few different themes, but i think campaignjunkie won it out with his vibrancy and color palette.
i would also say that complexity is not a winning condition, although popular opinion seems to dictate so.
yeah i think sp is gonna be where it's at. mp looks like it's gonna be a trainwreck (suddenly, human invaders are spotted in the city).
