Yeah, cos game-devs not only are rockstars, they also get regular money bags, right? (I myself, have problems storing all the money I get)

well you can always sell your mini oscar if you get into money problems

I just started playing it and I got freaked out when i could feel my desk vibrating when playing it, only to realize 5 minutes later that its because I have an xbox controller plugged in. So i picked up the xbox controller and suddenly all the "Press X to duck" stuff used the Xbox icons instead. flawless integration -> i love.Anyways, then I got an nvidia bugout and i had to restart my pc

lol this would actually had been good if you hadn't noticed the controller. "this game is so good my desk is vibrating"

It's not going to come by at all, but if it did, getting a fatal total dose of radiation spread out over even a year would mean you're pretty screwed, and the "flight time" of radioactive smoke coming from Japan would be two weeks or so.

yea, except no. check the links instead of bullshitting.

there was a lot more going on in architecture than art deco in the 1930s.a lot.

that meat comment made water come out of my nose.

his reference material hints at early art deco. the rest seems more focus on styles older than 1930s

You apparently see the line between "short term" and "long term" as "instant" vs "everything else".

it's not going to come in 1 day, believe me. even over a week the dose would have been significantly dampened.

i think you're really missing the contemporary style of the 1930s. none of the features of your model have distinct art deco traits.

Don't give me that shit. The problem is not texture or mesh resolution, not even lack of AA or full dynamic lighting on consoles, but stupid post process filters and bland lighting.

The tech demo is actually from 2004. It's from 7 years ago and still looks impressive:

i never got far in clear sky, but you are absolutely right about how dark it gets at night samcom. this isn't some half assed attempt at creating a realistic night. this is simply how night looks without light.

i think all the stalker games have a special place in my heart. not only because they have the best atmosphere, but also because (like it or not) eastern europe looks like that. it brings back memories from my childhood :nostalgia:

yes plz someone translate I'm curious. If they're saying the US is in any danger... that's bogus.

Not just "in danger", 750 rads is a super fatal dose. They're pretty much saying Japan could be the apocalypse.

    1 rad = 1 rem = 0.01 sv. check the above chart.

take into account that this is gradually accumulated, not instant. over time, the body will remove at least some of the radiation present.

    A. 7.5 SV is fatal even with treatment, as per the chart.

    B. The graph of 750 rads hitting America is a piece of fiction, made up by complete fucking assholes.

    C. It's grossly irresponsible to be reprinting it anywhere. People are poisoning themselves with iodine overdoses over this shit. There are runs on fucking SALT in some places. Salt!

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sievert

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiation_poisoning

obviously you still don't understand that even if what has been shown happened, it wouldn't be a fatal dose because it wouldn't be instant. also, 7.5 != 8

and if people are overdosing on iodine, they deserve to win a darwin award. it doesn't take 10 minutes to find information about how radiation works, and how to best protect oneself.

considering the half lives, prolly longer than you'd care to wait.

ehh. you don't have to wait for radioactive matter to do that. it, like most other molecules, will bind itself and get flushed out with waste disposal.

in order to prevent radiation from clogging up the thyroid gland, you can ingest some more iodine or get iodine pills even.

I never saw a discount on Steam, just some lame multiplayer unlock gimmick. Think I'll hold off on Crysis 2 as I still don't know if the editor is/will be included or they're just going to skip it for the CE3 SDK.

same, im only getting it for the editor

hp they're not wrong in the way they've done alternate paths. i think it's a major problem that people do not seem to understand that in creating alternative paths you create content for players of a different playstyle. so one of the paths don't suit you. fine, don't take it.

my supervisor at uni back when i did my bachelor thesis had done a ph.d. on exactly this, and honestly it's what gaming needs to do. remove those single path killzone halo shooters and bring on the shooters that cater to different people, not just a single player type.

I'll probably be hit for this, but Invisible War wasn't terrible. Maybe a little oddly streamlined in places (one ammo type?, less background story info) and suffered from some tech issues (being barely playable on machines that could run Deus Ex, tiny levels with loooong load screen in between) but the game was still good. I don't particularly like the place they took the story, it turned into a slightly more generic seeming sci-fi setting. Ok, after writing this out, there's a lot that could be better, and it wasn't as amazing as Deus Ex, but it certainly wasn't terrible.

i agree, plus the soundtrack owned in comparison.
