Hope it's decent. The Walking Dead comics are amazing. Funnily enough Puddy was reading these a while ago, you working on it man?
Edit - Whoops, you posted at the same time as me!

So I can't watch with sound atm. What's it about?
I love it, looks amazing!
6 hours left!
Is 'Silent Hills' gonna be the new 'Aliens' to 'Alien'? Can we have a kickass team of marines coming in to Silent Hill to fuck up a Pyramid Head army? Fuck yeah.
I think the effects look amazing but the gameplay looks so bland.
Bahahahaa. Big long epic speech that basically can be summed up to: "Microsoft gave us shit loads of money, so we are now making our game exclusively for their console'.
Also, Rise of the Tomb Raider is a terribly generic name!
Just heard this, really sad news. I grew up watching this guy... Jumanji, Hook, Mrs Doubtfire... And then later on Bicentennial Man, and of course classics such as Good Will Hunting.. Damn, this is really sad news. I wonder what happened..
I guess I am using similar modelling techniques (lots of tiling materials!), but in terms of architecture, this scene is nothing like Alien. I'm actually looking at a lot of Submarine and Ship cabins for my inspiration mainly. I think it's mainly the white panelling that gives it a Alien feel. I'm not using any kind of vinyl padding in my scene though ![]()
It just looks like they've increased the usability of brushes, I wouldn't exactly call it a proper modelling tool, 3ds max or whatever will always be better. However, this does look good for prototyping!
Hehe thanks Pampers.
God damn those shots are really terrible quality. Time to stop using Windows Snip tool lol, so used to using it at work to grab quick screens of stuff, didnt realise how terrible the compression is.
Cheers Andrew! Yeah agreed on the walls, that's what I've been working on when I've had chance. I've tried adding a little more panelling to the walls, along with some bolts too. Also changed the style of the wooden panelling to be a little more consistent. I've worked a little on the planet/skybox too, but my material shader knowledge is a little iffy so I'm stuck with the planet shader at the moment!
Need to get cracking on with this, but I'm not getting too much free time at the moment! Also, I'm aware that the lighting might be a little dark at the moment. I need to calibrate my monitors, I've no idea which one is correct! ![]()
(Excuse the crappy quality, these were grabbed using Windows Snip tool lol)

Also, here's a collection of some of the modular sections so far:

Fantastic dude, can't wait to see more from this.
Yeah I've tried CSGO quite a few times but I really don't enjoy it as much as Source and 1.6 back in the day. Either that or CS:CZ ![]()
Looks cool man. Try indenting the area where the blade goes into the handle.
Also, what sorta job do you want to get in the industry? (I presume you aren't in the industry yet? Correct me if I'm wrong!) If you'd like to become an env artist, it might be cool for you to try some material definition tests, or even making a small environment to get used to an engine. If you've already done this, then apologies! I just only seem to see props from you in this thread.
What's with the random 'Nexon' thrown into the name? That's like calling the next Assassin's Creed: "Assassin's Creed Ubisoft: Unity" or the next Battlefield: "Battlefield DICE: Bad Company 3."
Awesome! That'll drum up at least 10 sales!
Looks a lot like the Spark Editor we used on NS2, especially the brush creation stuff.
Cool stuff ![]()
Pretty sure it's just a support studio for the engine, and they won't be making games? If you look on their site, you'll see they aren't hiring any artists or designers etc.
lol that just sounds like an item drop rather than an expansion name.
