How old is that board? You might need to update the BIOS for it to work with that gfx card.

You need to look up the beep codes for that specific board. Cos it might be a hardware problem, as in either the card is not getting power or the slot is dead and the bios can't properly boot it.

Before you do anything, tripple check the gfx card is properly inserted. Take it off, put it back on, plug the power cables to it and try again. Sometimes the simplest answers are the best solutions.

Yeah... Let's spend 5 years polishing a game to perfection and then overpower the player with crazy bonuses right off the bat.

Quote in response, the community suggested players make a save as soon as the game allows, then claim the pre-order DLC, then start every subsequent playthrough from that save and not from a new game in the menu. It's a ridiculous situation and an even more ridiculous workaround forced upon players.

    Sigh... that's so sad. -_-

I saw that actually, but decided to completely ignore it. You actually get a lot of free stuff if you pre ordered the game, stuff that I definitely don't want because I know it'll fuck up with the balancing of the game. They give you weapons, a lot of money, and praxis kits. I'll just continue ignoring it, and never use it.

Look, here's how I see this whole deal, you start out with a vision, then when you execute you need to cut some content, so you can focus on the big picture and make your product a reality in a feasible amount of time. His only mistake was that in his naivete he exposed too much of his vision onto the public and he tainted the public's perception of what the game might be. Ultimately, it was the message delivery that was, let's say inexact or imprecise. The overhype didn't help either... I mean, They're a team of what, 15 dudes?

The final product is still amazing, and I find it almost impossible for me to not respect it for what it does, which is a lot actually, first game of it's kind. Buggy as it might be, you have to at least give it that. I just hate seeing a person, or team, that devoted years of their life to try and make something cool being criticized and attacked by keyboard warriors all around the world.

Oppressed groups have always been [mind] controlled, isn't that the text book definition of oppression? Control?

People keep connecting the plot to current events and finding themselves insulted or triggered because they're taking this at face value -- you need only to look at the "Augs lives matter" debacle, which I find kind of funny because DeusEx has always been about political and social subliminal messages, past, current or future. It's a cyberpunk plot, the "punk" part of that word means the domination or oppression of under classes.

The way I see it, is that DeusEx plots have no [political] agenda other than making the player question the world around him, which is what you're doing and it's great and knowing how these games are, there's more to it than it meets the eye.

1 hour ago, Jetsetlemming said: So I was already disturbed that they're using augs as a stand-in for oppressed minorities when augs are actually really dangerous and vulnerable to hacking that makes them into killing machines, but according to the Feminist Frequency review of the game it's even worse than I expected, because the climax of DXHR killed FIFTY MILLION PEOPLE according to DXMD, just two years before this game's events. LMAO you'd have to be crazy to not be terrified of augs. It's not prejudice if this group KILLED 50 MILLION PEOPLE INVOLUNTARILY JUST TWO YEARS PRIOR. This stupid ass premise implicitly legitimizes racism, wtf were they thinking connecting it to BLM and shit like that? So, so dumb.

    ...50 Million people! Jesus!

...still gonna play it. But I'm definitely gonna mock this boneheaded stupid ass world building. 50 million people, Christ.

Leave it to FF to analyse only one side of whole picture...

According to the lore, this event was actually triggered by Hugh Darrow, when he invited VIP's to the Panchaea's grand opening, the final level of DX:HR. Darrow's a member of the Illuminati and he takes a anti-augmentations stance, he always wished for it to be severe restrictions on this technology, so he came up with the plan of altering a chip that every aug had on him/her, he views his altered biochip as a way to change the public's attitude on augmentations. And of course, the plan spiraled out of control when so many people died, but hey... it worked.

What I'm basically trying to say here is that it's not that black and white, the writers are not that stupid -- both sides (augs and purists) have different motivations, but in that specific case, the 50 million people genocide was actually caused by an "anti-aug" purist, not the augs per-se, it was not their fault!

You fell right onto the writers trap, this among other things is why this franchise is so god damn good!
