I have probably spent a lot more time with mapcore than with the majority of my family in the past years!

Been there yesterday with a few more crytekies. It was fun, but it was waaay to busy. Man, thousands of people... And I ended up not playing any game at all. queue for games like Diablo3 and Modern Warfare 2, were 3 to 4 hours.

Even for games like Mafia 2 and Brink, were 2 to 4 hours of wait. :-|

Nevertheless, it was a good experience. Neven been to this kind of cons before, so it was ok. Next year tho, I will only go there if we manage to get tickets for developers days.

I'll try and share some pics with you guys soon.

    Care to elaborate on that?

Ah yes, that forest is really bad ass! Everyone loves it in here, so different from the kind of vegetation environment Crytek has done before.

I'm quite surprised by how much he revealed there, including the cancelled project!

"How do I work my way up to the games industry" has always been the typical question from people starting up. And here's a few words about that topic from John Carmack.

I'm actually pretty satisfied, although not surprised he mentioned modding on there!

you should think about removing the third image (the yellow), since the lighting is really bad.

what? It's my favourite pic of all those 4.

Nah, for now Crytek is only announcing how the suit looks, not gameplay elements.

Well yeah, I'm not going to lie, I still do prefer the old one better. Looked more athletic and realistic for some reason, where the new one looks more like a walking tank.

But if you think about it, there's a guy inside that suit, so it has to be wider than normal human body proportions. Look at the old one, and imagine how skinny the guy inside should be. But yeah, in the end of the day what matters is what you see, not the technical stuff.

well, back in the days, I didn't really knew what was underrated or not. If I saw a game that appear to be decent, I'd give it a go. I loved Kingpin, and none of my friends knew it...
