Nice vid, but i stopped watching half way through. They don't need to convince me anymore, so I don't wanna watch any more spoilers.

One of the secrets is to use photos, but use them wisely, and extract some of their detail into you texture. Not slap the photos and clone stamp it into a texture.
No need to go into depth here when others have excelled at explaining it, and on video, so here it is.
I recommend these two DVD's:

I'm using a G5v2 for everything, work and gamming. (I also have two, one to use at work and one at home) The only thing people complain about when use my mouse for brief seconds is that the scroll wheel is way too hard, but i guess i got used to it.
As a pad, i use a steelseries one.

I'm expecting this to be a decent polished game but nothing more.
What more are there to it? What would you expect to see from a id game?
- absolutely astonishing graphics *check*
- interesting gameplay mechanics *check*
- varied environments (exteriors and interiors) *check*
- free roam *check*
- nice weapons and gadgets *check*
- even some driving to break up from the shooting *check*
And it's a fucking ID game we're talking about here.
I'm just happy to see it's not a plain old shooter like a lot of games out there. We live in a shooter era, and a lot of the shooters you see nowadays are almost an insult to the player.
Take KZ2 as an example, (When I first played it, i actually enjoyed it, but given the fact I'm a graphics whore, that's prolly the reason why) it really irritates me because all you do is shoot, shoot, shoot; there's nothing else involved, no other mechanics, no interesting gameplay elements to break up from the samey shooter, and there's no gadgets in games anymore! No more gamepley layers on top of the basic.
I'm playing SS2 atm (yes, for the first time) and it makes me genuinely sad to see what we've become as an industry, It's like we're returning to the roots again. Sometimes there'sa few gems that come out, like Bioshock with great gameplay elements that makes you think for a second within the game and actually challenge you, but even that one is just a rip-of of SS2.

Man.. That's nice! It's the first time I see a dump that pretty!

Definitely gotta add this to my ref library, i think games should definitely start doing this more and more, it appeals not only to game developers but to gamers as well. Art dumps / Post Postmortems rule.

Nice vivi, congratulations on another shipped title!

Seeing all that, and the reviews, maybe the game is not so bad after all! This is not a very good time to ship a game tho, not with this awesome sales on steam, we're all buying games like shit which will keep us occupied for a while!
But I'll be sure to give Singularity a try next month or so!

Yeah, they have shitloads of PSX games on PSN for 4/5€ each. I already grabbed Crash Bandicoot, MGS, and Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus and oddysee!

8800GT is alright, if you have enough ram on your PC. I made Vulcano on one of those!

So, this game was released two days ago and no one told us anything about it, huh?

I'm in the art pit, no one is allowed there, definitely not a camera man.

I'd show the enemies my pinto... Enough to make them run like chickens.

Yes, PS3 does support mouse and keyboard. But most games don't support them. (Mainly because of pace and difficulty, imagine playing KZ2 online with a mouse, you'd own everyone)

Wot... when he said CSS, i thought he meant Counter Strike Source!
