Unfortunately true, Sci-fi boomed in the 80's and 90's, whereas it was literally frowned upon in the 70's. Now... it's dead again.
With that being said, this year's the year of After Earth and Oblivion, we'll see if those are any good.

Did anyone was suprised how the hell the lighthouse scene is at night, and the 2 min later Clumbia is in full day ?
rotfl, you're trolling right?
It was a cloudy/dark dawn, probably a few mins before sun rise, and as you probably already know, Columbia sits on top of the clouds therefor there's no rain or clouds and sun rises earlier.

Still, these kind of analogies shouldn't be made, it is a game after all, who cares.

I think it's an interesting point: there are a huge number of pickups everywhere, and it did distract me at a few points.
Bioshock1 had way more loot scattered around I think, at least that's how I remember it. In this one, there's more boxes with loot on them and less little things to pick. Again, it might be my memory.

Yeap, gamer OCD, also why I'm 15 hours in and still in Fink Manufacturing, taking my time having a blast man!
This 1999 mode is really making me struggle now and then.I'm a bit disapointed that you can only have two weapons in your inventory?
Is this a 1999 mode thing only? If not, can't think of many reasons on why they would wanna do that, other that they wanted to make it more dificult and have just a single button to swap weapons. With that being said, it adds a certain level of interest, cos I'm always like "Mmmm, shit, what weapons should I use to progress forward, is it corridors? (shotgun) or open areas (carabin or sniper) so in a weird way it actually adds to the experience. Also, so far the Vigors are more or less the same as Bioshock1, only now you have a secondary mode, which is awesome. (I havent seen telekinesis yet tho) Seems to me they decided to really make them count and have less vigors, but having really good ones to make sure people actually use them.

I don't remember the exact numbers, but there is a lot of people who only play singelplayer.
Like me, I don't play any MP games whatsoever nowadays. And last time I did, was l4d, TF2 and CS:S, before that loads of Quake3.
MP games man, I got one gif for you

"These screens are from the current generation of consoles," Rockstar said.
Wow, if that's true, it sure is a godly achievement. GTA4 looked pretty bad on the PS3, slightly better on the xbox360 but still was a really muddy and choppy game.
They could have worked on the graphics/render engine this time around and really nailed the look, still, those screens obviously have supersampling and AA on HD resolution on them, which current gen consoles can't do.

Bad streaming is bad. Seriously I can run Crysis 3 on basically fullest settings but keep getting loading spikes when playing this.
I find that really weird, because I am running it at 1080p, on ultra mode dx11 and I get 40/50 FPS, sometimes i feel it drops to 30 when in combat. (I have vsync and AA off tho, I dont feel those add to my experience, and they are really expensive on performance)
Weird part is, my machine is getting old actually, I only updated to a GTX560ti a year ago or something to give it a bit more life span, so I'm very surprised how well it runs. Boarderlands2 doesn't run this well, i actually had to drop resolution to 1280*900 on that game to have it running smooth.
For those having stutering issues, it is a known problem, not sure if they are going to fix it but you can fix it yourself, just increase the PoolSize for textures.

QuoteBioshock Infinite Stutters and Freezes in-gameGo to commonBioshock InfiniteEngineConfig and open BaseEngine.ini. Search for ‘PoolSize’ and set the value higher, depending on how much available RAM / VRAM you have available. We increased the value to 512 and some of the stuttering seems to have vanished.

QuoteIt sounds like Metal Gear Solid V will be feature a similar split to Metal Gear Solid 2, with Ground Zeroes working like the opening Tanker chapter, and The Phantom Pain working like the Plant chapters that made up the rest of the game... I think.

Man, that does look fantastic. But so did Battlefield 3 SP, and I couldn’t finish it, gameplay is just not interesting enough. Graphics can only hype you so much.External Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. Kiefer Sutherland?? No David Hayter?????
David Hayter tweeted that they didn't even ask him to do the voice this time around. It could be another troll play. Who knows.
With that being said, I dont mind another voice, for all we know this could be another snake, who the fuck knows how the plot of this will play out.

Seems like it, also seems like Big Boss was in a coma for 9 years, that's when he woke up, his head is a mess after the coma and most of all that (seeing burning volgin, a flying whale, etc, are just visions of his fucked up head)
This is shaping up to be yet another epic Kojima game!
