Well if I can stay with Xbox, I will.

Just out of curiosity, why do you favor xbox on top of the ps3? (This is NOT a fucking flame attempt, I am genuinely interested)

I just played an official match on Mirage last night, got my ass kicked the first few rounds but it's a very well balanced map! Glad it's been added to the official roster, getting tired of the d2-nuke-inferno loop.

It's spoiler free, but make sure you play the game at least half of it before watching this. This is a game most appreciated with media blockout.

I understand you use the cloud to do some processing, then update something on the local machine; that's what I've got from the Forza demo/unveil. Sure nothing like that can be processed in real time at acceptable performance, so asynchronous jobs.

What's quite clear though, is that all this makes things much more complicated to build/manage.

They said that if you're not connected to the internet and are unable to use cloud computing, the game(s) keep on using the data that is cached until you connect again.

It would have been extra nice now that PS4 seems to be the go to console for me as well, but its on PC, which was very exciting and uprising.

Yeah, everyone I talk with are like:

"Dude, so far, only reason to really get a xbone is Titanfall!"

and i'm like, "you know it's on PC as well, right?"

    they're like "Ohh.."

Yeah, your "companions" never get spotted by the enemy, I guess they did that to reduce game frustration since it isn't your fault if Ellie decides to poke her head out, so it might look weird now and then, but overall it's a great decision. Gameplay comes first, even before logic.

As for the clickers, I think it's great that they insta-kill you! it keeps you on your fucking toes, and it makes you be very careful when sneaking up behind them. Also, later on, you can unlock a feature that lets you kill them with a shiv when they grab you. (if you have one, ahah)

Apart from said difficulty spikes, then I actually found a bit too easy for my likings on Normal. Stealth wise it's fairly forgiving, for example the enemy NPC's don't react to your AI buddies, which can break some of the immersion but it definitely makes for a much more enjoyable experience. Also there's almost always a way to flank around the enemies, throwable junk to use as distractions and plenty of options to getting past enemies or to take them out.

Really impressed with the actual gameplay of this one. I mean I love the Uncharted games, and I'd put Uncharted 2 on my all time top 10, but gameplay wise they've never been that deep. Thrilling yes, but beyond epic set pieces and some pretty decent cover based shooting then it's not a mechanics wise impressive game. I'd say The Last of Us has them flexing their actual gameplay muscle to any doubters.

Going to try it on Hard difficulty now, figure that should be even more intense~

I agree with this. I typically play the games that I know I'm gonna enjoy the shit of in hard. I like a challenge, and I'd have more bang for the buck.

I can recommend the Hard mode for Survival Horror fans, man, you're gonna be checking every single fucking corner of the game for loot, and the enemies take the right amount of damage from both melee and guns.

I loved Bioshock, and when I played it I said it was GOTY so far, but I have to take that back now. Last of Us might very well be one of the most memorable games I've played. Up there with Resident Evil 2.

It's weird how the environment art is a bit so-so in the first hour of the game, but holy shit does it get better. There's more variety in here to build 3 games.

I sometimes get lost for a good 2 to 3 minutes, just looking around an empty room absorbing the story. The family that used to live there, how they lived, how they survived, etc. So much story telling!

It's also insane how good the gameplay is, perfect balance between stealth and action bits. This is a master piece.

There, i fixed it for you. I can live with 720p if it means smooth gameplay experience.
