This last shot was not an art pass, just testing custom models and textures.
Alas, it was never meant to be. I admire those that have found work in the field and wish them luck.
omfg dude I remember that hull-breach project!!!!
I was DYING to find some of the .vmfs in my old e-mail, so eager to see that again after such a long time. You wouldn't still have them would you?
PLEASE
DON'T
SUCK
that looks pretty cool. is it source engine? I was honestly really really impressed until I saw the combat, it looks a little floaty and awkward with the police crouching and not looking very responsive. Either way, could shape up very nicely
Quote from killertomato< The Ghost Next Dooralso: is gwalior still wip? FMPONE?
gwalior is very much alive >: ))))))
(and kikette is doing major things in it)
I have literally thousands of science fiction concept art pieces I could contribute, although i'm not sure how its actually possible to upload them all
I'm glad to see you posting these but I'm a bit concerned from a common sense standpoint about the gameplay. I'll put those concerns aside for now
edit: clarifying this, just the size of the area, pretty much echoing e-freak in the specifics. but, too early to tell.
tuesday is better ![]()
Quote from Marcemthe workshop is very easy to upload to and its a lot easier for other people to play your map if you give them the workshop link
i'm not quite ready to put it there. If you upload an early map there, it tends to lose a lot of popularity, and you have to deal with people complaining because it's not done.this is correct and accurate
This is really excellent, I was pleasantly surprised at the depth as well, a lot of times a nice site like this runs out of steam fast. Not here, and I hope you keep it rolling further
itt, a woman makes one hundred sixty thousand dollars, and a career out of giving speeches, lectures etc to the video game industry, by claiming that video game industry subjugates women. she later becomes mayor of Ironyvile
itt, another bunch of dudes are line "omg I THOUGHT WE WERE BETTER THAN THIS. I thought we were better than to disagree with a feminist!!!!"
i'm now sawing my hands off and sticking my face in a vat of molten lead. if somehow my body musters the energy to make another post in this thread, please drop a solar system on what is left of me before i can hit the post button
its awesome ![]()
still don't like that header though, it doesn't fit the badassness of the work.

lol
a bunch of dudes saying a "feminist" video where a woman makes a lot of bad arguments about video games is obviously at risk of being interpreted as a big hate-rage-boner, but in reality its just a dumb video and she makes bad arguments. we're not to blame
Quote from Campaignjunkie-- intellectualism can come off as sexist too.
personally this is where you lose me, if the goal is to treat women like equals, then women making shoddy arguments deserve to be critiqued the same way I think cliffyb is off his rocker when he equates steam with origin using really shoddy equivocacies. it's really a lose lose topic though, because nobody is disputing sexism exists
anyways that's enough GURL GAMER talk for me.
still rolling my eyes at the picture of zelda with a sword.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8477683
this is why few games employ that idea, its good fun to use your imagination, which is why shoot fireballs out of our fists. but stop acting like women swinging swords is such an OBVIOUS IDEA WHY ARE THERE NO GAMES THAT DO THIS
i'm with feminists on a lot of stuff but when they say things like "the myth that women are the weaker sex" it seems like they aren't self-aware as to the fact that, physically, uh yes they are... by design...
not saying there aren't strong women out there, but evolutionary the idea is that the big male monkey can do what he pleases with the female monkey to facilitate making babiez (uNless you believe in adam and eve
). obviously, we're not monkeys, and therefore we can treat women equally, but that's how we got here, after all. nature isn't egalitarian, hence men got testosterone and big muscles, and women didn't. so when video games or movies or whatever put more women in the physical roles, its asking us to use our imaginations a step further to do that. which is why characters like samus make a lot of sense.
how many times across the world has a group of guys taken a women hostage? a million times every day. how many times has a woman in a dark alley repelled a group of like 3 guys as in that intro she was talking about? probably never. but she expects us to pretend the reality is the opposite and pretend that's totally natural, in order to create female heroes, despite it being pretty counter to the human experience
wow, I would actually play this. is there a story? is a point and click or a keyboard
