Me and a friend have been developing this little gauntlet inspired hack n slash for the last three months or so, we just outed a public beta/demo of it.

I don't know how much people here play smaller indiegames (I usually don't, that's for sure), so I won't make a too large thread about it, but you can read more and download it at the GL-page.

We hope of course to be able to release this through steam. I probably can not talk too much about how the greenlight process works, but the first three weeks we went from zero into the top #100 and are now at place #25.

This is the trailer we made, it's fairly old now, but it works...

dude looks sick! I would pay for this

Also (just going off of the video), the characters seem to blend into the chaos at times. I realize you colored them differently so they would stand out a bit more but I feel like there needs to be more done to their silhouette to help them pop.

Congrats for making such fine progress on this!

I'm not much of an indie gamer, but this definitely looks interesting. I'm in love with the responsive and buttersmooth feel! Good job!

Thanks for all your comments! We have gotten so much feedback from all around the net about this beta, so we're like swamped

Puddy, not many people play indiegames, even if it looks interesting. But I hope the co-op, the shameless gauntlet ripoff-ish nature and the none black and white coloring could attract some people to at least try it. Since you can play 4 friends at one computer, you could try it out at a friends place too.

It's the same as in all other games pretty much.

Climb the castle, slay the dragon. But in this game - compared to COD - there's actually gonna be a dragon.

    It's keyboard and/or controller.

When you actually play the game, you don't feel it that much really. There is a slight problem playing 4 player locally, but not because you can't see your hero compared to the enemies, but more that you mix them up and can't tell which player controls which hero.

    Looks a lot of fun.

Question: why low res pixel art? Or is pixel art always low res?

Pixel art doesn't have to be low res at all.

But mine needs to, because it needs to be seen as little as possible because it's my first and there's bug and shit that I can't sort out.

I have shown some maps before in the LD-WIP section and it has been an item at RPS, PCGamer, etc...

Well, there's only a windows build, but people play it on mac using something called mono(?).

I don't know much about this at all, it's the coders thing really... haven't used a mac since MacOS 7.5 =)
