    The Cube:

That was a fanstastic film. Incredible the levels of atmosphere that can be achieved in one reusable box.

    Escape from New York:

I'd been wanting to watch this one for a while. Although the actual plot is pretty good the film is really bad and is a big disappointment compared to The Thing.

    Re-animator

My contribution to the thread. Discovered this via a Cracked.com article. It's about a Doctor that discovers a way to reanimate the recently deceased, with often hilarious results.

    Really amazing piece Robert.

I also think that the first composition is the best, although the subject matter is quite far away.

Clever attempt at retaining market share.

I hope this comes with the advanced features that aren't in the UT3 sdk.

Modern Warfare 2 on Steam, if you're in Australia, is $89. Not 89 Australian dollars, which would still be 81 US dollars at the current exchange rate, but 89 US dollars straight out. .... I'm eager to find out if even one single person in AU buys the game on PC.

Google firefox backup. There's an application that will extract your preferences and bookmarks from it for backup purposes, then reinstate them for you when you reinstall FF.

    Suprisingly high production values.

  • mitering corners - reduce visleafs? good for optimization?

I find this works well for interiors, each half of the wall being 8 units.

I also spend hours nodrawing hidden faces.

As a rule I always use 'nodraw' as the default texture when creating brushes then manually apply textures to the visible faces.

Alternatively you can do a 'find and replace' for whatever your default texture is and swap them all out instantly with nodraw at the end of development. Works well as long as your default texture is unique, eg one of the dev textures.

If I remember correctly everything is this scene was handpainted, including the lighting / shadows.
