Apart from that, the map looks really nice. One legitimate gameplay complaint I've heard from

is that the pallets of "warheads" that provide cover at the bombsites, have quite a few holes that you can look through, but that you cannot shoot though.

Its like this guy mananged to make a video to wrap up most of the problems in the CS community.

-Says its CT biased then complains about a change at B that gives T the advantage

-Props at bombsites with literal 2 inch gaps in visibilty = OMG MAP IS UNPLAYABLE

-Decides to show how prop based cover is awful by shooting through it - but shoots through it where if it were an actual gameplay event, the enemy would have to be floating 20 feet in the air for it to matter

-FPS is hurt because of the details!!!!!! - it is two thousand and fucking 13 people, if your computer cannot run source by now, maybe its time for a cheaper hobby

Its almost scary how much the CS community fears change. My god.

I love it. I feel its still not finished though. Give it more detail!

Look at the new, officially made, de_mirage. It retains readability while still being very detailed by using similarly colored textures to detail the walls. (desaturated primary colors and lots of wood/organic colors) I feel as if your map could give so much more considering its small size.

Its just a funny opinion you had there. If anything, I use video games as excuse to get the asshole things out of my mind

Welp, still no gameplay. At least this trailer is much less Dishonored-esque.

What's the deal with the thief guy anyway, is he really just an asshole thief? It might seem petty but I like to be able to empathise with characters I play as and somewhat believe in what they're doing. All the media thus far makes out this is some violent dude who robs people, like I'm meant to find that really awesome or something.

How the fuck do you play grand theft auto then?

No really though, do you have any leaks? It might just be something you have to deal with which isnt that bad considering its a very minor problem.

Or maybe just have the water clipped to the exact size of the area needed rather than just slicing through the geometry.

Dont remove the little deck under the archway there, its just really cool for some reason.

The other arch however, replace it with three small windows all youre good to go

    fog controller

match the fog color with that of the sky and it will blend in much better.

Tweek the starting and ending values to your liking. The fog start value can be negitive for a slightly desaturating look.

isn't this what he's arguing against here? he wants it on all platforms, not just one. if it was origin exclusive it would be exactly like putting all your eggs in one basket

Oh yeah whoops, I misread it.

    Quote from Kosire

It's faster for Source on my mechanical harddrive to join a new server, load the map and spawn than it is on my SSD! to close bf3, join a new server, load that map, spawn.

    And just what csyver said..

Well this seems odd. No idea whats different between you and I here.

Oh please, BF3 takes less time to open, close and reopen again than source does to load one map. I think you can deal there.

Also how can anyone support having just ONE digital platform? Isnt that like putting all your eggs in one basket? I thought the internet hated monopolies.

Origin exclusive - wouldnt really be a problem, but slightly dissapointing

Day 1 DLC - Another bummer, but not a deal breaker

Battle log - This one I dont understand the hate for. Browse servers in chrome then join a game in less than 15 seconds? Who the fuck hates that???

Star wars + battlefield + DICE = sweet jesus I cannot wait for this.

If you remember where they are - shouldn't be a problem!

This is a terrible mindset to adhere too if you want to go anywhere in level design. First time playability and continuous readability is very important.

Are you serious? EA supports mods? Remember when BF3 came out and they said the game was "too advanced" to release their tools? Yeah, that doesnt seem like support to me.

    Lets be honest here though

Gamers are the most self entitled jerks on the planet. I mean I paid $10 the other day for 2 and a half hours of entertainment (star trek 2) and boy was it awesome.

Meanwhile, I paid, what, $50 for bf3 and I have about 200 hours logged into that game? Yet, go on reddit and youll see metric shit tons of people complaining about prices. People complaining about prices even after 400+ hours. My god.

See that hole in the corner of the room covered by a blue plastic computer case panel? Thats where my wild squirrel pets used to live until I got an exterminator to plug the hole with some expanding foam.

I dig the new lighting you added, it has a much nicer contrast.

However, your details are all over the place and my eye isnt drawn to anything in prticular. Maybe have the red orb things only dangle over playable space?

EDIT: Bad suggestion I gave there considering the orbs are probably the number one problem with your clutter. Perhaps just use less of them over the entire map.
