Yeah, join the group and you'll receive a notification when the event starts! You shouldn't miss it. Lots of cool maps lined up for tonight. ![]()
Quote from FrieChampLook what you did, Randy!
All joking aside, I'm as puzzled as everyone else as to what happened. Not too long ago GBX released Borderlands 2 - a 90% metacritic title - and now they're putting their reputation as a studio on the line by releasing...this.
DNF didn't count
As things stand right now, Borderlands 2 feels more like an exception. Aliens was weak, Duke was terrible and it's been a while since Brothers in Arms was any good. And not to be overly critical, but to my naive and young gamer brain a game like Borderlands seems slightly more forgiving to make than many other kinds of games. I think players' love of loot, leveling and co-op smooth out any rough edges quite a bit. With that in mind, I personally question exactly how much game development muscle they got left at Gearbox. ![]()
EDIT: I hope this doesn't come across as dicky. ![]()

Yeah, if only SEGA had contracted Crytek. And Helder. ![]()

Uhh yeah about that....
I actually expected it to do slightly better.
Slightly.
Yeah, MP3 ending wrapped things up nicely. Bittersweet imho. ![]()
Really liked the game overall, but I agree that it didn't need a cover system.
Bioshock definitely failed in that regard.
But both Half Life games did it well imho. I mean, you could argue that "mystical intra-dimensional man jumps in and grabs you right at the end" is a cheap narrative mechanic, but I think they pulled it off.
Quote from SpronyvanJohnsonFull Metal Jacket: The dialog in this movie is unmatched.
True Romance: This has such good dialog that it's unmatched.
: OOOOOOOOOOOOO
this can only mean one thing... they are... the same movie?!
EDIT: or, there's a quantum fluctuation which dictates that both movies are and aren't unmatched! ahmahgadd!
And if we ignore the finale and ending. And boss fights.
So far, it's definitely more action-oriented; there's Dead Space 2 style combat and pacing.
But I've heard that certain sections further into the game are geared more towards horror.
So this was released yesterday! Bought it from greenmangaming (it's 33% cheaper than retail here in Sweden).
Enjoying myself so far! Quality stuff.
Noooooooo!
