Yesterday, as I was about to go to bed, a comment was posted on map 5 of this collection. "smosh play this :DDDD". At first, I was baffled. What did it mean? Then, I remembered seeing one of those "Honest Game Trailers" and that "Smosh Games" is the youtube entertainment television channel thing that made those! I searched their videos for "Portal 2" and alas, I found a video with quiiiite a lot of views that I had absolutely no idea about until now.
So, I give you, a bunch of loud and obnoxious youtube personalities duking it out on map 5 of the collection. The last one to finish it get's cake'd!

Feb 14th? Cool! Isn't 16th a President's Day? That's a holiday, we can hang out!

It is?
I doubt we'll respect it tho, we'll see.

Anyone at blizcore who still has a little key for Puddy?

Oh yeah, one thing I've noticed is that older people seem to almost universally buying a place as 'the done thing' and what you should strive towards. I just don't think they understand the modern world of people wanting the freedom to move around said world, not be tied into what can easily become a huge ball and chain around your neck, etc.
In addition, real estate isn't always the "awesome deal" people think it is. Part of the increasing value is just inflation, not real value increase. People just think in pure numbers and think about what they paid for a place (which is usually way back when).

The B sign here is hella-confusing, sure, you are supposed to walk to the left, but the actual building and site is more to the right. I would have this sign at a crossroads where each direction is a bombsite.

If you are happy with your current setup, stick with it bro.

Let me know when you'll be in LA, we'll get a beer. I hope to see rest of MapCore LA Team, right now Irvine is out of my range because this city is really HUGE and it takes long time to get there!

I'll be over on the 14th and will stay until the 21st! Hectic schedule though, but beer must be fitted in.

Even if they managed to make this, would it be a fun game? With no focus or real emphasis. Who wants to play the store clerk that keeps getting robbed by everyone?

I love 40k and played it a few years back. Still have a box in my closet with the entire army.
Anyone else that used to be into this? I.e. the 40k main game. Table top gaming can be really nice, I only wish 40k was more streamlined, balanced and less time consuming.
Found some old pics in my backup folder, click spoiler for 100% nerdiness.

When suffering from insomnia you might as well use the time to watch some good movies. I've revisited John Carpenter's The Thing. I hadn't seen it in years but I still have fond memories about it. I didn't actually plan to watch the whole movie but once I pressed play I knew I couldn't stop. Even after all these decades it hasn't lost any of it's charm and it's still and excellent horror movie. Even the effects remain impressive. So I'll leave you guys with this:

Fucking love The Thing, might see it again this weekend.

Cobble doesn't really work imho. I dislike it because it has so many corners, angles, spots and potential backstabs. It's like 'Paranoia: The Map'. The finals could've really used one of the other maps as the decider.
I don't know which minor tournaments are next, but EMS One Katowice is in March and it'll be awesome!

Finals are underway for anyone missing them. Final map about to begin between LDLC and NiP

Hey guys, thanks for the tips! I'm not sure how much time off I'll get but I think I'll be back in time for E3 and then I'll definitely have more time to check it all out.

Will let you know exact dates as soon as I know them. I think the office is near Hollywood actually, not sure where that puts me in relation to you guys as my LA geography knowledge is pretty much nil (all I know is that the place is friggin huge).

Hey guys!
I'm going to be in LA some time next month and I was wondering if there is something I, as a Swede, really should check out while I'm there. I'm there on business so I might not be able to squeeze in a lot, but we'll see.

Also, don't exactly know who's in LA at this point but if anyone wants to grab a beer, lemme know.

The absolute best multiplayer level designer (imho) is David Johnston (http://johnsto.co.uk/), creator of de_dust, has moved onto becoming a programmer.
Dust2 is a great map. Dust is 90% nostalgia imho.
