I think people know MGS has a lot of cutscenes.

Yeah I know, I just love trashing MGS. I'll go away now.

Just finished Dead Space 2 Loved it!

The story was intriguing and Visceral didn't fail to deliver towards the end (some games show promise initially but fall apart towards the end; Bioshock 1, Deus Ex: HR etc). Loved the way Isaac as a character was handled.

Combat could be tedious sometimes, but overall it was challenging and fun. Character and environment art was outstanding.

It's a shame that my inner school girl kept me from playing the game until now.

I finished it recently, the boss battle at the end was confusing...

My main criticism at DS2 is that there's too much action and the horror aspect that the first game had is mostly lost, DS1 had a lot of small corridors where nothing much happened but you were always expecting something to kill you at any time. DS2 combat was just annoying most of the time, especially those friggin children, the FOV certainly didn't help when you're backed into a wall and you can't see those things if they're right at your feet! Great game though, superb artwork

I couldn't take much more horror. Usually, I'm very picky with FOV but it was definitely not nausea-inducing in DS2 (atleast for me). Now, it limited your ability to spot necromorphs as you say but I believe that is intentional. Also, out of all the enemies, I found quite a few to be a lot more annoying then the kids (who usually died quite easily at the hands of my pulse rifle).

And isn't it obvious that the "devils" are, as usual, russian... (and as such they are clearly wearing the wrong uniforms).

Currently, I'm still shitting my way through Dead Space 2. Love it so far; perhaps because it's a genre I haven't played before so the concept is pretty fresh. Great characters and voice work. Challenging enemy types and rewarding gunplay. It's cool.

I don't want to be the devil's advocate but it's not unreasonable that the game actually did have some development issues and that understandable reasoning, but perhaps not just reasoning (as in correct), lead to this decision.

I don't know about you but I remember all STALKER-games being quite buggy and, unless I'm speaking out of my own ass here, console releases can't get away with that as easily as PC releases due to Sony/MS. Perhaps no publisher thought they could pull it off? And that merely relying on PC sales didn't cut it? Furthermore, the development of STALKER 1 wasn't really smooth and all subsequent games have been derivatives IMHO (easier to develop due to tech/asset-sharing). It's not a good pitch for any publisher with dollarbills in their eyes.

    Harsh business. Sad ending.

That concept art really got me pumped too

Too bad, I would've liked a proper STALKER sequel (didn't care too much about Clear Sky etc).

I guess they took an arrow in the knee.

Some non-map feedback; the download button on the site could be slightly more attention-grabbing

    Going to check it out!

EDIT: It's more that it's dark blue text on a dark grey background. And that it's smaller then the release date text.
