Seriously, what the hell happened in that trailer?
It's just so... what... the... fuck on so many levels.
The tattoo seems to indicate they work for the same organization as 47 used to. Why on earth would you hire these ineffecient lunatics who have no form of peripheral vision and absolutely no hearing (jesus you can't just snap neck after neck unnoticed!!!)?
I would've LOVED if this trailer used ONE female assasin posing as a nun who proved to be a worth adversary for 47 (a requirement would be that she was't wearing burlesque clothing underneath).
Furthermore, are these ladies going to be in the game? If so, the trailer pretty much reveals their ultimate fate. That's unless they represent a type of enemy which we'll be seeing more of (armies of killer nuns!!!). If they ARE NOT in the game... what the hell am I watching and why?
I mean JESUS EFFING CHRIST who broke out the funky mushrooms at IOI?!?!

I cannot for the life of my interpret this trailer as a joke or stylistic "spin-off" trailer to the game. I have to take the trailer at face-value since the tone of the trailer is serious bizniz.
Oh fuck it let's play some banjo.

Goddamn environmentalist hippie, he removed the industrial areas in the skybox!!!
Looks good.

Atm I'm probably down to 10-ish hours as well on my current character (it says Day2 when I log in, not entirely sure what that means). I've got almost everything I want (at least the stuff that's common), 8 pieces of meat as well... No point in looting regular towns anymore. Only stuff I'm lacking is medical supplies, so yeah fuck it, gonna look for some adventure (perhaps nighttime looting?)
Death is imminent. Not that regular tbh, I played 20-ish hours in total and died 4 times I think. And every time I'm surviving longer and longer, so currently I've been alive the longest!I don't know, starting over is fun
You spawn in a new area, new challenges, etc.I play with a friend as much as I can but I play more than he does so then I just scout ahead and look for loot. I like it both ways, if he's online then we try to go to the bigger cities and team up, covering each others backs. And if I'm alone then I try to reach some of the general stores in the smaller towns.
Hehe, you generally thirst for some adventure after playing it safe for a while.

BTW if you feel like teaming up some time, feel free to add me on steam.
NEOZYEM: Aren't crossbows still shit?
One slot = one bolt? And weak damage/rate of fire? -

I am almost happy every time I die, but only if I reached a new goal

Well, thing was I'd been playing the same character for 11-13 hours, so I was actually pretty heavily invested in that "life" so to say. And the fact that I died by being in a tent when a player joined the server, spawned there and shot me on sight wasn't too fun.
Quote from ChimerayGonna go to NW airfield soon to try some better weapons, fingers crossed

You gonna die son, GLHF!
How many times have you died by the way? Sounds like a regular activity.
Quote from ChimerayDo you play with a group of friends or lonewolf?
I alternate between the two. I really appreciate a good lonewolf session, playing with friends makes everything a bit safer and you lose the sense of desolation and loneliness. How about you?

... and I'm dead.

NEWS!!!
- You can pick what gender your char will be. This is a one-time choice which will be bound to your FUCKING CD-KEY.
- You have to stay warm. Which means lighting the occasional fire and staying close to it for a few moments. Very cool. You can chop wood to make a fireplace.
I like the pace at which new features are introduced. The warmth-element feels really balanced, as opposed to just annoying. Features like this really helps the game stay fresh.

Somewhere in the world, a marketer is getting payed for this.

Just got a key from a buddy. It's been a while since I played some CS...
It's fun, but I'm not too impressed at the moment. The game feels like a goofy spin-off and not a true competitive-oriented sequel.

Just getting started.

Had a very cool moment today.
I was skulking around in a wooded area surrounded by fields around two km's north of Chernogorsk. I heard some gunshots from a nearby village and I decided to head to a treeline close to the village. I crouched next to a large tree trunk and observed the village through my red dot sight. I saw movement in a barn maybe 70-90 meters away. A player stormed out of the barn, tailed by 7-8 zombies. He sprinted, then drew his pistol and turned around to face them. I took aim at the zombies with my M14, but held my fire. I prepared to intervene. The player fired 20 - 30 rounds before all the zombies were down. I lowered my weapon. The player started moving slowly away from the village towards the treeline where I was located, but he was facing a slightly different direction. I aimed right at him. He only had a pistol. Basic backpack. Probably wounded and low on ammo. "Should I help him?" Too risky, he could've been desperate and could've opened up on me. He came closer. "Should I take him out?" He could've been a threat. I sighed and lowered my weapon, slung it over my shoulder and headed in a different direction, disappearing into the thick forest. Just couldn't risk helping him and couldn't just kill him. The player never spotted me.
Just love the cautious, rare and potentially volatile interactions between players.

You guys are so unthankful. I don't want to sell stuff to asocial mutes!
Blizzard worked their fingers to the bone to bring you these fine NPC-lines.

I don't know. Hmm....

I sure hope that they have more weapon variation and not just wrist-shooters. I actually really liked the song in the trailer for some reason.

Just finished it; excellent work! Demo can be found here: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BxQPUZ ... DVDRHdLZUU Here's my feedback:
The intro is good, it's very minimal but quickly gives the player some context and a goal. A bad thing I noticed during the startup was the "rebuilding path nodes"-message or what the devil it's called. You should include the path files in the .zip (there are path files, right? I remember it so!). Looking out through the spawn window I noticed the skybox fog settings where a bit steep, which made the 2D-sky contrast heavily with the 3D-buildings in the background; that could be tweaked.
Interior lighting is very solid, using a good variation of color, brightness and "tone". Outdoor lighting isn't as spot on though; it's very hard to get right with the EP2 engine and assets tbh. Brushwork, model- and overlay placement is really good all around though. I loved all the supports, trims and other details that make the structures come alive. They look haphazardly built (in a good way) and no areas feel naked. You've used the stock assets to good effect! The screenshots posted don't really do the environments justice imho.
The gameplay is good overall. I really, really liked one of the first combat areas where the player was allowed a lot of room manouvre, both horizontally and vertically. However, in that encounter, along with a few others, I got the sense that the enemy could've moved into and around the combat area with better timing and variation. For example, in the mentioned area it would be good if they reached the front lines earlier, as to put more pressure on the player. In some other cases the combine almost lined up for butchering, which isn't very challenging. But I'm nitpicking here.

I would put more of an exclamation mark at the ending. It's ok to end abruptly but it should be accentuated with something, like bursting through a barrier of wood planks into the bright wilderness after going through a dark tunnel. You should have a snap to black instead of a slow and steady fade imho!
These are just some thoughts.
Again, I thought the level was really good, my feedback just focuses on the parts I found not-as-good as the rest. -
I read this thread as "Creating a skybox from a potato". That is my contribution to this thread.

I don't get any headaches or anything but I am not a fan of the "effect" at all. It makes the world of the film feel flat, because certain objects are childishly brought forward and waved in front of your face in a "cool" way. There is already a perceived depth when watching a film... I don't need the gimmick to be immersed.
