At first I thought it would be like the exos in NS1... but oh man was I gladly surprised. I'm assuming they only get one? And that they won't get the heavier "suit"-type armour because of this?

EDIT: NVM, saw that one scene in the trailer clearly shows 2... omg.

Nobody has missed that peti supports coop now right?

These chambers weren't created in PETI, but they are workshop-integrated and I highly recommend them!!! Co-op fun for the whole family!

Edit: His singleplayer maps are pretty cool too!

Tried it a bit more today! I've learned two things.

    1. It's more fun if you play with people you know (obviously).

    2. Changing the crosshair type and viewmodel to classic makes the game a lot more enjoyable!

I think it could be good for the storytelling. There's been so many GTA games now, if I have to go through another 'rags to riches' story I'm going to end up killing myself. It'd be a really interesting twist if you played as both a 'rags' guy and a 'riches' guy, especially if they clashed with each other and a narrative was built around their interactions with each other. They could even go 24 on our asses and have you play the same missions from both perspectives, with 24-style split panel framing to show what the other guy's doing. OK getting carried away and will most likely be disappointed with the reality now.

I liked the style of GTA4 and it's DLCs. The main game was one char and each DLC featured it's own. But all their stories intertwined on a few occasions, which was pretty cool.

Screens look cool! Loved the intro sequence. Pretty different look from Portal 2 (which can be good!).

How far along are you? And are you always going to have "behind the scenes" levels or are you going to introduce some more traditional chambers later on?

Okay, well, I believe AMD changed how audio was handled with their 7xxx-series (which I've got too). During the driver install, I think there's a check box for installing this new way of handling audio. You could try reinstalling your drivers with this option disabled just to see if things work any better.

Is this only a problem when the audio goes "through" the GPU (like via an HDMI cable to a TV or something like that) or is it ALL audio, regardless of output (speakers, headphones etc)?

Heh, it's been a couch-based day for me! Started watching The Newsroom. All in all a great first episode, even though they lay on a few things a bit thick...

Just thought this thread needed some additional whine.

I have a few issues with the design of the game. As you probably know, CS has a long tradition of e-sports and has always been regarded as a game which allows very high-level play (as opposed to shooters that are balanced a bit awkwardly and are aimed at a more casual audience and geared more towards "public games"). To me, the natural step forward for a CS "sequel" or follow-up is to look at how the game can be improved, while still staying true to it's roots and staying within the same space in the genre. I have no doubt that the devs could make major strides if that was their goal.

I've played the game for a few hours and, unfortunately, everything seems to indicate that this is a watered-down version of Counter-Strike. And a lot of the design decisions seem odd. For example, why have they expanded the arsenal in such a meaningless way? I wish they would use an approach similar to the one that Blizzard uses with units Starcraft 2; each weapon would have a distinct role and expertly balanced pros and cons etc. And weapons that can't be considered balanced, fun, useful or for some reason not viable are scrapped. Right now, a lot of guns are piles of shit that just throw noobs off the scent of the good ones. There's a lot of stuff like this which makes the game less interesting (like the focus on "fun"-modes and the less interesting maps that go with them).

In short; I'll be skipping this one.

I am trying, trying to enjoy Rage, but haven't really been able to so far. Based on what I've played, the game could've really benefited from a linear mission structure. Roaming the "wasteland" aka meaningless driving hub is just a waste of time imho....

Hmm Thrik, I'm probably a bit too used to high FOV's... Will keep it in mind when I prepare screens for the site later!

Sentura, got an aversion for partially broken test chambers?
