I meant no code updates for a year, lacking things like HDR, a decent non buggy code base and VS2005 support.
I wish you could properly drive the vehicles in Deathmatch - that'd be really fun.

amazon.com is always a good place to start.

I figure that has everything to do with not owning Quake II... What's not to get?

(I guess that doesn't make me hardcore then, eh?
)EDIT: Quake II was released in 1997.. and I was in third grade then... DOES IT MAKE ANY SENSE NOW?

Piracy is wrong, please die.
Nice map btw.

Tolerance is ignorance to your own morality.
-
I'd love to help out - but of course, I don't have Quake 2.
I may just have to buy it

EDIT: Actually, in 1997 I was in 3rd grade.

And yet, here you are saying that their culture is bad because they oppress women
You can wrap it in as much patriotism and the american flag all you want, its not black and white. It has been their religion and culture for longer than your family goes back, yes there are cruel persons there too, but if it had been half as bad as you think it was something would've happened a long time ago.Isn't RD from the netherlands? Anyway, just because whatever culture someone belongs to has been around for a long time - it doesn't mean that it can be morally justified - I'd wager that the women who put up with this stuff face the risk of something bad happening to them if they drift from it. Look at the damn Sharia laws, it's all there.

I don;t like it when they experiement with my wallet though, you understand?

Are there a lot of people who still play Quake II?
-
No Half Life 3. Also, Gabe is a dolt.
-
Well, for starters there will be no Half Life 3.
EDIT:
I just have a funny feeling that valve is taking a trip down the road of self glorification - and we'll be taking the back seat.
-
I don't know fellas - it seems valve isn't taking the modders as seriously as they should be.
and I'm still pissed DOD:S was released with two classes missing... will that game ever see those two classes return? I wouldn't bet the farm. That was just lazy.

I imagine there were some similar vehicle sequences in the singleplayer of the new tribes game (tribes: Vengence) but I never got around to buyign the game.

I think you guys got a little side tracked. Rail-shooters don't allow you to control where you go (think Virtua Cop or that old Area 51 arcade game), thats not the same things as riding in a vehicle in a mp game.
In my defence, with the tribes series - you can load a bunch of people in a vehicle and travel down a path, or road - whatever, while being shot at. Not a rail shooter, but close enough if you ask me.
EDIT: The SOCOM series comes to mind as well.

First off, I apologise if you think i implied that you were an idiot, I didnt, I just implied that you dont know much about this subject. When it comes to blame; I blame you, your friends, and your society.
You can't go saying that all those reasons are an excuse for polluting, its nothing more than reasons period.
But I'll give you that, too some degree it isn't fair to put you side by side with a non-industry country. But take a look at norway, in comparison to how many people, our ratio for polluting is way less than yours.
Even after the Kyotodeal you guys havent done jack shit (at least not much) to reduce your polluting, norway on the other hand has taken CO2 and SO4 polluting down by several percent, while actually increasing the size of our industry.
And your whole attitude of this actually, again, proves my point. You seem totally oblivious to the problem and choose to ignore because its just the way it is over there. Thats wrong!
Oh and, I've just come home from a Chemistry exam where this was a huge part of it (30%). I blamed the US there too

I seem totally oblivious? You are the one not choosing to consider the reasons I have put before you. Making a comparison between the US and Norway is nothing short of nonsensical. Let me prove my point: Norway has a population of 4,610,820 people - The US has a population of 298,444,215 people. Somehow it's still a wonder that America produces more pollution than most other countries. I would think the sheer amount of people in America would produce significantly more waste, than Norway's 4.6 million.
EDIT: What I'm saying is that the reason America, Japan, and China - and other largely populated countries are large polluters is because we have significantly more people, and more industry - than smaller countries like Norway, who take pride in not polluting. It doesn't seem fair to compare the two (or any other similar country)
Population isn't even the biggest factor. Politics is by far, the biggest reason for pollution here in the states. No one can agree on any sort of plan to fix things. Capitalism is a double edged sword in more ways than one. The people involved in industry don't want to change because they will lose money - and the people in governement can't force to do it, becuase The american congress is so deadlocked that no one can ever get anywhere with hot button issues like this. Me personally, I'm all for reducing pollution - and that's great, but I can't stop it by myself. I can ride my bike all I want, and I do - but people have to commute to get to work, people have to get to where they're going - and unfortunately, in America public transportation isn't as widely used as it should be - so people drive their cars. The situation is again, different - and that's what you don't seem to understand.
You have to understand that America works differently than your country. It may not be for the best but that's how it is.
It seems to me you guys are feeding off of misinformation(especially our European friends) - that every American person is an inconsiderate slob and doesn't care about anybody. That's simply not true.

I didn't even bother playing PDZ.I actually just started playing Far Cry Instincts: Predator on X360. (rented it). I gotta say, it's both good and meh. I don't like the feel of the controls, though I suppose I need to adjust. I'm guessing there will be vehicles and sniping, given the PC game had so much of both.
Anyway, the key distinction for the vehicle gameplay is that there will be multiple players riding in a single armored vehicle at a time shooting enemies coming at them in an urban settings as the vehicle moves to an objective point. The snipers and portable rocket guys will be in a single, fixed location in the same level providing birds eye view support.
I can't get into more detail right now (will once the thing goes public) but it's a cool design just they are having trouble visualizing the gameplay right now...cause they are marketing guys (though still totally cool).
Sounds like tribes multiplayer.
