    (It's a comic-texture contest)

now to the textures: looking good, maybe you could higher the contrast in the wood texture. i really like the second texture but dislike the third -> there seem to be really big stones which could be better lightened ingame with an normalmap imho

he when would have higher the blendtime which may work with tripod but as those pics are taken with a flash so we can guess he shot from the hand it would'nt come out correct

mh that's right - so - go with the 300D (not the 30D ) and try the girl out.

you may also just use the 300D as much as possible and then write what "hurts" you about the cam so we may give advise on which cam could be next or what lenses would be good

If you go DSLR i would recommend buying a 350D - i know, it's more expensive but the 350D made a heavy improvement chip wise.

The best thing about not compact cameras is that you can use a big bunch of lenses -> and can zoom even harder than what hessi showed up (the eos 300 d can use lenses as well )

so - take a breath and start running to next photoshop ^^ - test out cams they have there and have a look which one fits you most.

keep in mind: a cam might be expensiv - but if you learn mastering it it will become your best technical friend

    Canon

    Compact: Ixus Series

If you want something little better and more complex

    PowerShot Series

If you want a "real" cam

go for dslr series (such as EOS XXXD or XXD Series)

it HAS already ruined the series for me -> the thing about the gold master seems they were in need of solid beta testers so they just had the magazines do the work

mh maybe you got me wrong -> this map looks (at least on the screens) better than any other map i've seen for css so far (maybe JeanPaul's map but that seems more art related). so take it as worth of that kind of praise

yeah and good to know about the texture ^^

uhm - i think piranha byets did do a lot to this disaster as well - because as far as i remember the first gamestar preview of gothic 3 - gamestar wrote: nice models, nice artworks but nothing playable -> a gamedev team should imho try to work with playable versions instead of working out tons of art-stuff but don't care how to work with it ingame properly

i myself will wait until budget-tag (below 20€) will be on it - then it is bug free as well ^^
