Can't any of you Zenimax guys hook a brother up with some afordable Doom miniatures

Sadly there aren't really many good doom miniatures, at least not in the bethesda store, they only have some plush ones.

You might get those on ebay if you're lucky and willing to pay a lot of money.

Reading how much money it's worth I'm not sure I'll ever unpack the ones I got :D

@BJA, any news on the editor/SDK/possibilities of importing textures/models, etc?

Sorry, don't have any updates on that matter.

That was only a closed alpha limited to around 10.000 players. There will be another alpha test for a lot more people, including the pre orders from wolfenstein I think.

So far the main feedback I read are regarding speed. Could be because you always run in the MP or Quake3 hardcore gamers find every game these days too slow.

    Looks very good.
Other than the original game they want to recreate, I have kinda the feeling that the name is familiar.

Probably because there's already a racing game called GRID?

Didn't know Guerrilla was working on a RPG, nice to see them doing something else than another Killzone.

When was the last time Valve showed anything at E3 or any other exhibition? can't even remember.

Those are some really old leaked screenshots from the first iteration of the game, nothing of that is in the current version. Same with the video, it's just an old cinematic from blur.

I'm not saying you can't make a good story focused Doom game. I'm just saying that it wouldn't really be a Doom game. A lot of these modern game designers fail to grasp what made Doom great in the first place. Now I'm all for good stories, epic journeys and then some but Doom wasn't about that. The greatest thing about Doom was that it was utterly unpretentious. It didn't need a deep narrative, epic set pieces or great character progression. No, Doom was about demons and shotguns. The game was entirely build around action. Everything else was secondary. From the level design to the items you picked up, everything was there to support your merciless onslaught and it all flowed very naturally. But it's not about the shooting either. Even the weapons are just tools. No, the game centers around fast paced movement. The challenge is not about shooting your enemies but surviving long enough to be able to do so. There are no useless items, nothing to break immersion, everything helps you in combat and it's just one long adrenaline rush battling for survival. If they can bring just a fraction of that back then I'm sold!

Too bad you have to wait a couple of weeks to see what the gameplay is all about, but I'm pretty sure you will like it.

Hey dudes, someone was asking about any maps to work on art for, well I promised once the map I was making is in the build I'll post here, so yeah ... it's called DM-Vortex, tis a small simple dm arena with a funky fan mechanics in the center room. If anyone is interested in helping, either with feedback or assets it would be awesome!

I could help with turbine...I miss making turbine rooms for you I like the open spaces and corridors you have there, looks pretty cool already. Some might need a little more cover I guess because it feels to me like snipers will have a bigger advantage in the level than the rest.
