The reason behind the matchmaking system given by spokesmen for IW, was that it would make thing easier for gamers. Anyone could click play, choose their gametype and be on their way.
However, I spent 5 minutes waiting for the system to find someone while ppl dropped and joined, dropped and joined, before it finally went into a game (all the while shouting at me in german, cunts) then the host migration came up, failed, and returned us all to the lobby.
Not being able to choose a map to play on is a real fucking pain in the ass, but really it's only a change in scenery that you get because every map is the same circular gameplay with no chokepoints and a million ways to get anywhere, along with a million camping spots because god forbid people had to learn a level instead of running forward shooting at things. Maybe IW could avoid getting Brad "The Dude" Peterson and his frat buddies to provide QA for their game, or at least get them to play while not chugging beer bongs and "shredding kegs". We're not all idiots and a challenge is a good thing in a game, when you try to make everyone a badass killing machine you just make a mess and there's nobody to clean up the semen and vomit.
I literally laughed out loud when I saw the screen pop-up and show me I could choose a new title and a badge/icon (fuck knows what the term is in english as I was treated to some bavarian moon runes bullshit). If anyone says that time and resources were the reasons MW2 on PC didn't get dedicated servers or a server browser then they should wonder how many weeks it took to design all 7 fucking pages of titles along with their associated artwork.
Great. Now we can all be unique running around in circles cluttering up the fucking screen with dope leaves and golden skulls.
I look forward to playing the coop when I work out what fucking button I need to press.
