Quote from Senturaif you don't want other games to start doing this, stop enabling them by buying it on other distribution systems. the only way publishers like EA will understand is through sales numbers from a specific distributor (no offense rick, ill be buying the game, but i'm not going to install origin or some other shit to play it).
hey i'm not the only dicer here and it doesn't bother me that people dislike origin either. but i think we can compare this with facebook and google+, and we know how that's turning out.
gabe requires your first born child in order to publish on steam
oh yay another game where only we can save the world ![]()
Quote from the0rthopaedicsurgeonOne asteroid could contain the entire world's wealth in raw materials.
how will they get it?
QuoteNASA is also a science organisation so learning about the history/geology of planets, possibility of life etc by exploring those is a valid use of its funds, even if people don't see any direct benefits to their lives.
agree, it's a noble endeavour and i don't think we should stop exploring science because it costs too much. but the practicality of getting a man on mars, for some possible water, is so beyond our means that it's for all intents and purposes impossible.
all i meant was that we're never going to have people flying around spaceships exploring the universe or even the galaxy. science fiction glamourised it but the more we learn about space, for all its' incredible beauty, it is just somethign we cannot hope to explore.
i hope i am proved wrong.
Quote from knjAs i said, here is some shit i've been working till today, hope you can say word or two
(i will take those links down in a lil while)1024 on all textures n/d/s
looks like clay, but it's obviously stone?
the scratches look very zbrushy - try adding some chips and more stoney surface detail on the next model you do like this. it helps to get some material references so you can get the correct details into the high poly from the very start.
the only problem with space exploration is that it isn't 1950 anymore and we know there's nothing out there except certain death for anyone stupid enough to try.
awww

thats essentially what deferred rendering is
Watch it til the end.
the inside lines are assssssss though
electricity gets turned off in germany if you don't pay for a couple of months, just try it when you're down there.
in the uk the only thing they don't turn off for a long time is water.
i don't get your massive amount of butthurt over the issue. it's retarded that a game would require you to be logged in all the time. even if you are playing single player.
Quote from Skjalg...and im guessing you are not in any way furious about your lack of decent internet connection (which should be a fucking civil right like electricity and water!), or your lack of judgement when you failed to read the small white text on your game that clearly stated that it needed an internet connection?Hey I'm not saying its a good thing that you need internet connection to play some games, but i'm sure as hell not gonna whine about it because my computer is connected to the internet 100% of the time. And those times its not, then... no wait, its always connected. I cant even recall the last time i didn't have stable internet.
wow i don't even get what your point is anymore.
internet is not a civil right, neither is water or electricity - just forget to pay your bills for a few months and watch that sht get turned right off.
from what i can gather there's about 21% of the world's population has internet, so it's by no means widespread, when you consider something like water and electricity. ask some poor fuck living in a shanty town in africa what he thinks is more imporrtant, clean water so his children don't die or maybe the ability to order toilet roll holders from amazon and post a shitty comment on a youtube video about kittens.
rich white people problems springs to mind here.
in sweden, you cannot get internet services from the main providers until you have lived here for 6 months - and sweden is a socialist paradise apparently. so how highly do they value it?
also you missed my point somewhat. i had an internet connection, i had a mobile device that gave me 20kb download and like 1kb upload. but the retards at ubisoft decided simply activation the game wasn't enough, but they had to check i was still there constantly, over and over until it completely overloaded my internet device. whereas steam worked just fine, so i am not against an online activation, but the idea that we cannot have an offline mode is a little shitty. and blizzards reasons for not offering it aren't exactly brilliant, why didn't they just say they want to prevent piracy - or is it because that system doesn't prevent it at all, but sinply punishes legitimate consumers.
i'm with sentura on this.
i moved apartment, had very bad mobile internet, couldn't get proper net so had to make do with what i could get.
i bought splinter cell conviction, a nice single player game to help me pass the time. it required a constant net connection, and not just a small amount, but it ran so manychecks, so often, that my little mobile device couldn't keep up.
i was unable to play a game i paid for because ubisoft are implementors of draconian drm.
if i had stolen their fucking game i wouldn't have had to put up with that shit.
so here's hoping D3 gets cracked to fuck ![]()
i didn't watch it i was just being a dick ![]()
i like it, i like the professionalism of it, but it doesn't speak to me. i love the philosophy behind it, and the core of a cell, is a really great spin on it, but i just don't think it feels right. can't put my finger on it :embarrassed:
lol just kidding ![]()
