Why because it does not have trim and curves? hehe just messin. I think his purpose was to make falling water, and did a damn good job of it. who cares if the rest is ugly.

Keep up the good work on your building badger, can't wait to see the changes and see it done

Looks very nice but I got some beefs with some particular areas. The pictures shown above there is an area with a railing, however there is no access point to this. It doesn't make much sense. Also the top of the pillars are these small block if you will, when you got amazing detail everywhere else. I think you should pop a little more love into that area to make it look better .

The stairs also look a little odd how they come out a little on the right and then curve in. I don't know if you got reference but that looks pretty odd. This is ment to be constructive so don't take it the wrong way, just trying to help.

Cool, I really enjoy unreal, but that program is easy as shit to crash. Apprently Tom enjoys his UE3.... which I wish I could enjoy with him..

Max is obviously really cool, but hella expensive compared to other products.

I love brushed based environment making, however it is extremly limited. Unreal is usually heavly dependent on static meshes, however they get some nice results.

I'm looking forward to learning UE3 to be honest. I mean who isn't?

Hey guys, I know everyone here has their favorite SDk, and they favorite program, but I am curious what your's is and why.

I have been a fan of hammer for 6-7 years now and love the program. It has it's shortfalls in no previewable lighting and the actual pipeline can be a pain in the ass.

I recently have picked up Unreal, I think it's pretty counter intuitive at first and I am not a fan of how you have to move around the view port. However it has some very strong points like concave brushes etc.

And very soon I will be venturing into the doom 3 engine. I hear it's got an easy pipeline and has a lot of good features we shall see

O and stay away from Panda3d I had to use it for a school project and I hate it makes me very sad.

So what do you use, and why?

Yeah that place is amazing. There are so many things that are worth remaking in there, and a lot of reference pictures if you know where to look. I have a personal set of places I look for reference and would be more than willing to share if we could start up a nice collabartive thread.

    [sorry for spelling]

I LOVE the ship. The gameplay in it is so good and the levels and art are dead on. In all honesty I would say the best game made on the source engine, not by valve. Keep up the good work Reno

    I currently am playing

400 huh, not bad, It would be so amazing to run around and take pictures of that place. It's just so creepy to see how overgrown with trees, and grass now, and how everything is like barren wasteland.... but with structures still standing.

I don't know why I am so fascinated with this place. Ever since I was taught about it I immidiatly started to research it. It's really amazing at how so many trees have grown and how prosperous.

I don't know if you guys are interested in things like this, but I have been looking around for level reference when I stumbled across this.

This is a set of pictures taken in the city of Chernobyl after the obvious radiation problems. Apprently they do guided tours which is news to me. I'm not to big on radiation, however I must admit as an Urban Photography I'd love to go here and take some pictures.

Very nice work, I'm really digging the theme obviously well done, and the textures look great. I like the lighting except some of the over bloom in the HDR. If you don't mind telling me what bloom scale did you use? cause you may have to lower that. Mine is pretty small on my source maps so I don't get that crazy huge blown out effect.

Edit: I mean for the most part it looks good just a few small area it looks a little over blown.
