well should you decide otherwise and aim for employment as an artist id say just make more stuff!
See nothing "wrong" with what you are doing just a lot of "inexperience" just keep making stuff and it will get better and better pretty much automatically.

This is a topic that is on my mind a lot recently i know the rules are very different from country to country.
In Germany in order to get any kind of retirement money you must have paid in for at least 5 years (and the amount is going to be tiny naturally) other countries are probably different.
If you worked in many countries most likely scenario is that you will get a small retirement amount from all of them rather than one large (or lets call it what it is "PATHETIC" ) amount from one country.
In some countries I know you can "cash out" when you leave and get all your retirement moneys back right away. I did that in Denmark. Because I didn't want to deal with the danish authorities who use a language i don't understand when i am an old fuck.
What I am way more worried about is that this shit will "reset" in many places do to revolutions policy changes new laws. I find it impossible to plan anything for my retirement beyond the obvious fact that people who OWN REAL-ESTATE ARE ALWAYS BETTER OF than those who don't.
Who knows if in 30-40 years money, medical supplies, food, drinkable water and breathable air are still the commodities/concepts we have today. I am gonna say NO its gonna be weird and different in unexpected/unpredictable ways.
1) That looks great but mostly from an architecture color-platte compositional or lets call it a pure ART standpoint.
2) could totally be done by a good artist in any other engine right now ( cry unreal unity ) so its not necessarily the tech that's impressive here.
3) PLEASE be not pre-calculated in any way shape or form iteration speed is the bread, the butter, the plate, the table and the kitchen of a good engine/tool chain! get on those tools valve !!! everything else you do is amazing already ... that is the one chink in your armor!

I have only failed at marketing indie games ... so my advice is worthless I guess BUT:
-I think your game/idea needs to be absolutely superb ... so that people will WANT to tell other people about it!
Being excited about a new game discovery is great feeling and sharing that is too. If your game doesn't cross that threshold you are dead no matter how many banner spaces you buy !
-get on the front-page/spotlight position of things were people who buy indiegames hangout/look: steam-news, xbla, psn, humble indie bundle etc... Nobody will find the game on your website or in the appstore. if you cant get into those spotlight positions you are dead.
i usually hate those scripted voice over narrators but this guy is pretty good!

I never really got into left 4 dead and even though i though the concept was cool the post apocalyptic middle america with zombies setting was totally sucked dry ages ago.
But these 2 are sci fi ... and very different sci-fi... so yeah I am cautiously optimistic for both!
